Barcelona don't lose top players, they deported injury prone Arthur and we took him blindly. Let's learn from the past.

There's something very wrong about this club. Objectively speaking, finishing outside the Top 5 after spending 200m would be a disaster result.

So we've got a chance to fix our season up and sign a defender (we actually need 2) and potentially grap a top 4-3 spot and try advance beyond the 1/4's in the CL.

And we risk that with signing a player who usually is out for 2/3s of the season. Why even do something with such risks?

Barca fans burning right now

Not because of how injury prone he is but because he's probably one of their better CB when fit and they think they deserve 50m lol they're lucky we're even considering him.

One of their fans summed him up well..

"He's a beast, bad on the ball and injury prone."

Now why does Motta want a defender that's bad on the ball?

Yes, because other clubs just can't wait to give us their healthy, young and performing players half season on loan with option. It's just this fraud Giuntoli refusing to pick up the phone.

We're three points behind fourth competing with Lazio and Viola. So far we've been plagued with injuries so hopefully we'll be more lucky second half of the season.

Maybe bad on the ball for Barcelona standards.

for the reported fee i would say its worth trying - 30m with bonuses for his level is very good price.
In the end he did play:
2233 minutes in 20/21
3271 minutes in 21/22
2602 minutes in 22/23
3024 minutes in 23/24

So yeah his injurt record is bad, but it seems that he is still able to play many minutes despite it.

Even tho Im not against it (providing we sign another defender) this deal still reminds me so much of Di Maria, Ramsey, Pogba etc.

A quality player we are excited to have but will never get to see due to injuries.
I don't know the player but I think this sums this deal up well. If we're basically getting half a season's worth of an excellent defender the reported numbers are about what we should pay. As long as we're not depending on his availability too heavily
