Juve In Surprise Van Persie Link

According to News of the World, Juve are lining up a ₤15million bid for Van Persie in preparation for life after Alessandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedved, the latter of whom is set to retire after the coming campaign.

The news comes despite the Bianconeri’s insistence that they will not be recruiting any more outfield players following the signing of Christian Poulsen from Sevilla. Indeed, the Italian giants have accordingly dropped their interest in Liverpool playmaker Xabi Alonso, who appeared all but certain to make the switch to Turin.

But it could prove to be a clever ruse designed to put the Old Lady’s competitors off their guard before she swoops in with one final coup to placate the restless supporters, who have been very vocal about their dissatisfaction with the club’s dealings thus far.

The Gunners, meanwhile, can scarcely afford to become embroiled in another transfer saga. They have already lost Aliaksandr Hleb to Barcelona after a drawn-out negotiation process, and Emmanuel Adebayor looks set to follow suit.

The latter’s departure would leave the Londoners decidedly thin up top; Van Persie’s additional exit would leave them decimated. Arsene Wenger is already without injured hitman Eduardo da Silva, meaning only youngsters Theo Walcott, Nicklas Bendtner and Carlos Vela would be available for the first part of the season.

The less physical nature of Italian football could well lure Van Persie to Italy, as the 24-year-old has suffered an endless string of injuries since arriving in the Premier League four years ago.

Furthermore, the Dutch forward has expressed doubts over Arsenal’s money management. The offer of a mega-money contract at Juve could thus see him follow former team-mate Mathieu Flamini to Serie A.

If you've ever had a several too many, thought it a good idea to eat the hottest curry on the menu, and spent the next day rushing for the thrown, then you know what the bilge that the News of the World looks like.

:lol2: What a way to put it but that's actually true. And when it comes to football, that picture is a bit more exaggerated.

Van Persie is an idealist, he believes in sexy football very much, if he ever leaves us, its more likely going to be to the more flamboyant teams, like Barca or Milan

The Premier League is more physical than Serie A. No doubt about that in my mind.

As for Van Persie, sounds like BS and tbh I hope it is. We're more covered in attack than we are in any other area on the pitch and they want to spend 15m on another forward? lol.

by the jist of this article and previous it looks like we want him as a winger, which is strange as that is no way his best position. Your right though these reports are pure BS but he has the potential to be a WC player if he can stay injury free and he's great to watch

van persie does play on a winger position sometimes. He reminds me of Giovinco with his position. maybe a little further up front.

But why are we even discussing this? Arsenal are famous for their great youth-work, and van persie is surely one of the best examples to prove that what they're doing is good! There is NO WAY he is going to leave arsenal. I'd even say that he won't leave arsenal until he wins something with them. They're getting stronger every year, and i see no reason why anyone of the young stars should leave this team... Van Persie is not even a dream. This is just pure Bullshit. I'd love to have him, as about every juve fan, but it's NOT going to happen, let's not waste time dreaming of him.

They are getting stronger? Where are you from? Arsenal was never a world club, everyone could leave ARSENAL. Wait next year, Cesc would leave, Adeb., Persie.

Robin VP will be just perfect. He is fast, he is young, he can score he can play organize the team and he has played on a high level. In addition to that, we can move Giovinco in the center of our midfield and not in the wings. But i don't believe this will happen, these guys say we won't take anybody else and i feel this is the truth...
