Please please please tell me you are kidding me with this, how the heck can you even compare signing Ramirez with signing RVP? The production level would be such a ridicolous difference its bizzare.
I like ramirez alot, but i dont really compare them as players. Ramirez is good now, and Will be Great in the near future. For juve i think he is a better investment.

Van Persie will bring over his looser mentality from his NT and his club over to which ever club he might go to........or Conte will turn him into a deadly winner. :klin:

So lets sign a player just because he is younger then the alternative, more years, longer term investment per automatic right? Ramirez is so overrated as it is, but even more if one you want to buy him for 20m+, secondly prefer signing him over someone who just scored 38 goals in one season. Ramirez needs to show ALOT more end product to justify such figures, or be seen as more then rotational option for a top team. Not to mention we badly need a goalscorer, not a right winger. Yeah many reasons to find your notion ridicolous.

he is not overrated and is 21y old. are you really doubting his talent?

you speak as rvp is a guarantee, well he is not. we cant wait a year or two for a 28/29y old to settle in. new country, coach, team and style.

Van Persie has the quality to become an immediate success that will make us a potential CL winner this coming season - unlike any other forward we've been linked with.

Still not worth risk?

You gotta risk making a fail if you wanna compete with the best.

Buck. Lowering it was a goal in itself last summer, but we have been lowering it even more by several of our dead weight we are getting rid of our got rid of players that earned 3m a year (or 4m in Amauri's case), enough wiggle room to offer big salary to our key signing surely.
No doubt that there is enough wiggle room compared to 24 or even 12 months ago. I just don't think we're going to be using that wiggle room. Judging by how the club is currently ran (again) & comments of those in the know.

And I dont see how I rate him that shitloads more, he is simply extremely practical signing to make for a weak attack as ours, because he has shown that he is VERY efficient finisher last season and half more or less. Would be fine with most procifient goalscorers we can hope for, Cavani or more realistically Dzeko, but the difference with RVP seems to be bizzarely enough most seems to be against signing, which I dont get at all. I get some of your objections, but IMO majority who are against signing him in this thread have simply been so mainly because they know he is unrealistic target for us to get prolly, so its some weird defensive mechanism to "dismiss" such players (its lolsly, seen it happen in many transfer threads).
I think you're basing your opinion mostly on this past season, which was brilliant, no doubt. While I'm looking more at his overall career so far, which has had just as many downs (if not more) as it has had ups.

In the end it's just a personal opinion anyway. Every reasonably sane individual can come up with objective reasons both pro & contra RVP. I happen to give greater importance to the contra reasons in this case.

He has played for Arsenal since he was 20 years old?! And his national team stats aren't that bad...
he was shit for feyenoord first team before joining arsenal
and his stats are maybe not bad for holland but that is because we sometimes play north ireland or san marino in qualification
in the tournaments he played, he never was that special as he is for arsenal.

Rumour has it we doubled our offer of 10 mio, making it a 20 mio offer, which Arsenal will probably accept, because they don't want to sell to man c and man utd.

I doubt it's true
