From Arsenal Mania, the largest Arsenal forum:

blaze_of_glory: "Juve are probably the most likely at this point if he does leave. But Robin seems like a guy with high ideals and personal ethics. Juve are proven to be a corrupt team playing in the most corrupt league in the world."

mistaT: "Still think its Madrid, Arsenal or possibly (slim) Inter Milan....however I don't see Inter Milan being any closer to trophies than us."

Robin van Persie’s father dropped a hint the Arsenal hero could join Juventus by ruling out Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The Dutchman has been heavily linked with a switch to Turin over the summer, though faced competition from Europe’s other top clubs.

“It would make no sense to go to Barcelona when they’ve already got Leo Messi,” Bob van Persie told El Mundo Deportivo.

“Real Madrid would be a good option, but they are not so much a team as a collection of star names, so he wouldn’t really fit in there either.

“He’d never go to Manchester City, as it’s impossible he would play for another Premier League side that wasn’t Arsenal.”

This is vastly reducing the options, so if van Persie were to leave the Gunners, it seems as if Juventus would be the prime candidates to open a new chapter in his career.

The Dutch international is currently preparing for Euro 2012 and turns 29 in August.

He has been with Arsenal since 2004 and his current contract expires in June 2013.

:weee: I really hope that is true. If VP is determined to leave England then we might actually have a shot at signing him.
