Yeah we have won it a few times. First time was in 1938, then 1968, then last season. But to be honest, being a well supported club with no success and a poor team for pretty much my entire life gives you a perspective that fans of Europes Mega Clubs don't have. In pre war era England and up to the 1950's the club to beat Was Preston North End. They were one of the most respected teams in Europe. Now fans of clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal and United scoff at them and they don't even register as an after thought to them. If Preston were taken over by a Billionare Sheikh then United fans would waffle on about them being a Sh*t club with no history who don't deserve it. But what they don't get is every club has history. No club is more deserving than the other.
Being a City fan tought me a lot. Love the good times while they last, Any of us could go the way of Preston North End, in 50 years time the whole scope of world football might be completely diiferent. Infact it probably will...
