There was reportedly a 10m bid, if that makes more sense for you.

I don't know what to think of this transfer. You have some certain he'll join City, but then why hasn't that happened already? He's already back from his holiday after the Euro tournament. I'm not even saying it'll be Juve that swoop in and take him to Turin, the Spanish giants might find it in them to have a go.

Mate we aint getting both Jojo and Van Persie. You are looking at 50m in transfer fees for both to start with. Van Persie would be a 3 year deal and Jovetic a 5 year deal. Thats 12-13m that would hit the P&L each year just from amortization costs. Salaries? Assume 4m NET for Jojo and 6-7m NET for RVP - that would hit the P&L by around 20m per year. In other words it would hit the P&L by 26-27m when the club looks to break even next year. Some of that might be offset by attendences and higher sales of jerseys. But its highly unlikely.

Its either Jojo + another medium priced striker (10-15m) after using Matri to get Jojo.

Or is RVP and thats it.

sorry i meant 32-33m impact. Perhaps offset by 4m in additional revenue.

20 for RVP and 15+Matri/Quag+another youngster for Jojo

The point in signing a player is 1st agreement with a player, 2nd agreement with a club. Van Persie doesn't care at all about Juventus, he is 29 already so what he cares right now is finding a team that gives him highest salary and can win some titles. Only Man City and PSG can do that but the latter is too unlikely.

When I read rumor about Van Persie, what I care is not a fee transfer but a salary he is receiving, less than 200,000 $ a week and I think that rumor is crap. For me only 2 scenario: He is staying at Arsenal or leaving for Man City.
