Stop drolling over dribbling, it is true that lack a lot of it, but it should not come at the expense of performance.
Pereyra was terrible with Monaco, he was responsible for ruining most of our attacking efforts, mostly by horrific passing, decision making and shooting.
The only reason he was fielded as a starter was because Pogba wasnt available and we have paid dearly for that lack of quality.
He is not the only dribbler in the world you know... Esp for a 20mil subber...
I probably take it too far with Vidal but this is fantastic.

Kind of agree with Crondog on this one. Pereyra really didn't impress me that much against Monaco. He got past his man a few times only to pass or cross to no one. Otherwise he would try and dribble two players and lose the ball. Ultimately his efforts came to nothing but Monaco counter attacks. If we had lost there would be little praise for the man.

So let me get this straight... You guys are agreeing with Cronios that Pereyra, who has been invaluable for us over the last 6-8 weeks, as a starter, scoring goals, providing assists, helping control the game, is a complete waste of 15-17 mil? :shifty:

I agree with Nenna's post. Some of the praise for yesterday's game is a bit over the top.I say he had a good game because he worked hard and helped out in defense otherwise in an attacking sense,he did nothing better than what Pastore did against Barca. He's still gotta work on his end product massively if he wants to become a permanent fixture at TQ.
He is a very good CM though.I think thats best suited to him.

Probably cause monaco had 9 players behind the balll so a pass through wasnt on. Him trying to beat a man, cause a breakthrough made sense imo

When no one else was beating their man and offering decent service into the box (minus Marchisio, because he can pass) it's hard to fault pereyra because the service was provided. He can't help it no one was making intelligent runs in the box.

Pereyra wavelength here.

Everyone else here.

Agree with this completely. He's shown he's worth what we paid for him, maybe slightly more. But he has a lot of work to do if he wants to become a TQ, or to compete with Vidal to be a starter in our midfield 3, behind a real TQ.
