I just don't understand why, for instance, the failure to sign say ...Aguero... boils down to Marotta's ineptness, when the player both in terms of transfer fee and wages was clearly out of our transfer fee and wage structure. And once again, because this is the most important part, he was out of our wage structure. How can we close a deal we currently cannot afford? :boh:
Because people keep saying we can't afford fuucking players yet spend 18M Euros on transfer fees for bench players. I can understand if people don't understand structured finance but this is simply simple mathematics. The players we buy have transfer fees that would cover top player wages, so stop spreading the lies, it's annoying as hell.

 'Sanchez is way out of our budget'... yet we spent 20m on Morata + plus they were about to spend 25m+ on Iturbe... do the math. Bringing in Evra on 3.5m wages too.

We have a wage cap at around 5 million per season. 6 at the most, see Gigi Buffon.

Let's say we were to offer 10 million per season like some of the biggest stars in football earn. Some of them earn even more. But let's say ten.

5 year contract. 50 million euros in wages alone. Since it's a big player, consider a 40 million transfer fee on top of that. 90 million euros for 5 years. I'm sorry man, but we don't have that money to throw around.

I chose 10 million because players like Zlatan are on 12 million per season. But even with 8 million euros per season, it's 40 + 40 = 80 million euros for that one player. Still beyond what we can do at the moment.
