Proper AM is more needed for sure and i think we will sign one...form the names that being mentioned:Jojo/Lavezzi/Pastore/...
But having good option from the bench is good no?coming for only 1.5M from this mercato budget.
Pereyra will be good back up,and imo his versatility in midfield is what got him here.he can cover CM/AM/LW/RW.
Then we should prioritize that proper AM and once we land him we can start thinking of a good bench option. It really works that way with all clubs except for Marotta who goes and buys Pereyra and when it comes to buying that established AM we end up not having a budget. And still find people defending such a move.

You're right, that's how it SHOULD be,but i am patient and confident we will get that AM if we are really going to play with 4-3-1-2/4-3-2-1 style.

No JCK. This is an opportunity. You can never have enough depth. I mean, would you want to lose a potential acquisition like this to a rival like Inter, Roma, or Milan?

Previous transfer windows has shown us that when we leave that established player to later aquisition we lose out on him and end up with a second tier player that we suffer to sell later on.

Udinese director Cristiano Giaretta:

Are Juve and Inter the challengers? Yes, there is interest and the situation is open. We haven’t closed the door on anybody yet.

Is it all done with Juve? No, there is no deal yet and I don’t want to go one way or the other right now.

He is a very interesting player, so we’re not surprised clubs are eyeing him up. As nothing is confirmed yet, the issue is still wide open.

Right now it's a loan with an option to buy, and we might exercise that option next summer, or may not. Conclusion of fairly easier deals get priority over more complicated ones. Or are you suggesting that we should spend few weeks chasing top signings, while in the mean time losing on opportunities like this one.

I'd rather seal a top deal quite fast instead of chasing for few weeks and see these players end up in clubs all over Europe and with competitors. But we all know it won't happen with slower than snail Marotta.

Mark said option. :boh:
Have you seen us not buy any loaned player with option to buy from Udinese? We bought them all.

No matter the negotiator, if you can't pay what the other side requests deals will be inevitably hard to conclude. So far, this summer, the players that have ended elsewhere were out of our price range. Sanchez, Iturbe (issue with his agent) ... We need to be realistic here and stop blaming Marotta for every single thing.

I am not blaming for every single thing, only deals with established players. He can't sign such players you know it, I know it and every body knows it. The only difference is that some don't dare admit it.

It has more to do with the fact of being able to afford these type of signings, rather than his inability to struck the deal. You need to look at those targets that we allegedly missed to sign and the fee other clubs payed for them. As I've said: not in our price range.

Which brings us back to spending on average players with the excuse of being used on the bench thus draining out the entire budget. It's really a vicious circle.

After most of our senators left we were in rebuilding process. What matters is that our team right now looks far better than what we had 3-4 years ago. It's not rocket science really, you are allocated with certain budget and first have to address the most important issues. When you need to overhaul the entire team it takes time before you can bring in top quality signings. From Motta to Licht, Aqualiani to Pirlo, Melo to Vidal, De Ceglie to Asamoah, aging Alex and Trez to Vucinic, Quag and Matri, etc... Then Llorente and Tevez came and our progress continued. Every summer we improve our team, yet people find reason to complain.

Looking at managers who sign established players, they all got a significant higher wage budged, so what are you comparing really

Juventus cannot afford to buy established players, cause each mercato so far, we had to spread the budged over several players, and cause we simply lack the wages for that.

But hey, pin it on marotta who created the by far best serie a team without financial risks, and if they win, act like they are shitpeasants who play 5times as good because Conte

I like how you used the word "were" because as it is now (you also said it, the team looks better) we don't have to rebuild, we only need to enhance. Which brings us to the fact that we need to prioritze established players that can make a difference now and leave the Pereyra-like players for later depending on what we have money left.
