They will sell him to fund that mercato, and he probably allready has, but they are doing a "bale"
Ah but you didn't say they will sell, you said they "sold." That's past tense and meaning it already happened and you based your "we have the best bench in Italy" comment off Benatia being sold.

He's not sold so we don't have the best bench in Italy yet. We're still waiting for Roma's defense to get gutted. It probably will happen but it hasn't happened yet and, it being mercato season, things can change very quickly. Players can go from being "sold" to staying in a heartbeat. Even if Roma should sell him to fund their mercato that doesn't mean he is sold.

Because he's not. Yet.

Just wait until we 'splash' 25m on Candreva. All dem experds will be silenced totally. We cant afford 20m+ signings bla bla bla.
Who said that we can't, even though that would be reasonable to assume for many reasons? But finding a genuine top player for 20-25m will be difficult in today's market. I can't see that many names available for this fee and I'd rather that we skip signing various Candrevas, or Cercis if we couldn't find a player who would immediately improve this team. People here have started with "We could have gotten Sanchez, Aguero, Higuain, etc..." , which is impossible, considering the fees Arsenal and other clubs payed, clubs that recorded positive cash flow in the last few years, unlike Juventus.

save the money and invest next year or the year after. We already have a very strong team. Or take the possible candreva money and invest in youth prospects.

That latter seems the most probable, but I hope there will be opportunities for that marquee signing till the end of mercato. :xfinger:

me too but do you think that there is a chance, if they buy pereyra and and a defender? apropos defender i read that forientina wants 6 mil and isla for fucking savic, that´s insane. I hope they don´t do this deal but then again marotta paid almost 30 mil for bonucci and ogbonna.

I hope we're not in the market for a cb tbh. Why do we need one? Why replace Ogbonna with Astori? It doesn't make sense.

Marata and Evra are here. Close in on Pereyra and chase a winger/AM + offload unwanted players.

I don't think Savic is better than those two. I think Ogbonna could turn out to be a good defender in a back 4. He's fast and well built but needs to be more aggressive and improve his positioning.

Yeah thats true. I actually feel bad for this situation tho. Roma could make another great italian team if they could keep their stars and add quality. Benatia is huge for them.

Our bench is better then theirs still, but thats opinion, its not that clear. Our starting line up is better, and that is clear.

But we need competition, its only for the best

This I agree with. Roma has the chance to really ascend here but instead they're probably going to sell Benatia and that will just gut the center of their backline.

I don't agree with the sentiment that we "need competition" as competition in Serie A means more matches our top players need to play during CL weeks because we need to stay competitive in our league. . I think the overall quality of the league needs to increase but the teams just below Juve that are 2-6 in quality yearly can stay right where they're at. The only reason I can think of where more competition is good is in CL where the better Serie A clubs do the higher our co-efficient will go as a league. However, that's a double-edged sword because they better other Serie A clubs do in CL means less money for Juve when the pot is divvied up. Also, I think the co-efficient argument to be a little stale as we're not getting that CL spot back anytime soon.

We should stick with the CBs we have for another season, Nastasic, Savic, Astori....

Shouldn't ever grace a Juve shirt. Ever.
he is the one i would want. sell Bonucci and get him. he would cost less than Bonucci i think so we would earn some money too :D. but sadly, Bonbon is staying, so its not happening :sigh:
