Valdora: Last days Emiliano Mondonico and Carlo Mazzone sended "love messages" to Roberto Baggio asking him to to go on playing and to join them to Fiorentina and Bologna. Yesterday was Gianni De Biasi to express his wish to see Roby playing again and 4 Brescia. "To loose the capitan, the best and most rapresentative player is not nice at all" explain Brescia trainer " last year he was determinant 4 us, he scored 12 goals and was involved in nearly all the others. My relation with him was very positive, he helped me a lot. I hope that he will change his mind and not quit... I want to see him on sunday, when he will watch the matches in TV... maybe he will want to come back. And we will be here, ready to welcome here again. I am his first fan, I hope he will change his mind".
He is also very happy 4 the fact that everybody is upset 4 his retirement and running after him to make him change idea: " to make all this mess happen retiring at his age (Roby is 37) it mins that he is a special person and player". From Bresciaoggi

Well... as I said I support Roby decision of quitting, cause the way he did it was so perfect and grate, but in case he will change his mind I will be happy anycase and I will hope it will be 4 Brescia cause IMO is does not have so mutch sense to come back to Fiorentina or Bologna 4 just one year, it's the past. Brescia still the present.

mate,

did his agent just receive another statement today - saying that baggio will never play again? this is what susie posted on propaul
Yes. Vittorio Petrone was interviewed and said that he thanks everybody 4 the interest and 4 the offers but Roby won't change idea.
As expected Roby is not considering the idea of playing again...

Roby today declared that he may not quit with soccer :cheesy:
According to most web sites today he said: "I recived some offers, I will consider my phisical condicions and than I will answer".
It does not mean that he want to go on 4 sure... but looks like he left the door open
Wierd that his manager last week said exately the opposite :D let's see what will go on :)

I'm torn..........

I think he went out with style- got his 200 goals and a final game with the NT.

But part of me still wants to see him out there.............

he cant return. it ended so perfectly. and now i hear he might come back with bologna or fiorentina, i am very against that!! Brescia have devoted the last 4 years to baggio. he cant do that to them. he is the symbol of the club, if he returns, he must stay with them. i hope he thinks deep about this decision.

oh yeah i knew baggio wasnt going to quiet that easily. Sure teh door is open for now. But like i posted up before we never know we may see him in the NT and i had that feeling and bammm look what happend he was called up to play with teh NT against Spain. Now i had teh feeling he may come back to play and well it looks he may just do that. Like mate says we will have to see what happends now. I also read in some websites back back way back that he was thinking of retiring on 2005 or even 2008. However, 2008 was just a rumor. I would really love to see baggio return to Fiorentina, or Bologna that would be awsome.

I don't know his private address but his agency is "kronomark" (Foro Bonaparte 70, 20121, Milano Tel 02-8065111 Fax 02-80651138 email [email protected]) so I guess you can try to contact him there... but IMO will be very difficolt... beeing him Baggio manager imagine how many peaple are trying to... even Mazzone said today that he cannot say if Roby is really considering to keep playing and if he is interest to join Bologna cause both him and Petrone are always unreachable... so... good luck ;)

Baggio might play again? :extatic: Olé olé olé! Which clubs are in the game? I'm kind of out-dated when it comes to calcio at the moment :embarass:

P.s. Great to see you posting again Mate :)

More Rumours. This is from the Channel 4 website.

Luciano Gaucci is determined to keep Napoli in Serie B and today confirmed negotiations with Roberto Baggio.

“There is a meeting already set up between our director of sport Guido Angelozzi and agent Vittorio Petrone to discuss signing Roberto Baggio,” Gaucci told a local television station.

This is not the first time that the Perugia and Napoli patron has named Baggio as a transfer target, but he has now confirmed that talks are taking place.

“Baggio is the kind of player who brings crowds to their feet all by himself,” continued the ambitious businessman, “and Napoli can truly appreciate that type of football.”
