this is the guy who shored up our midfield last season and gives excellant cover to the back 4,who allows vieira to bomb forward like he has never been able to do before and get involved
and you think he is worthless???

Emerson isn't a technical player, but he is, tactically, a very important player for Juve and for Brazil NT too. He can play at any team in the world.

Exactly. Emerson tends to go about doing his job in a quiet but efficient way and not all fans notice his good work. He adds defensive stability to our midfield and this allows Vieira to get forward without detriment. To even suggest that Emerson should be sold or dropped is folly and saying that Olivera is better than him is a pure insult to a fine player.

hey beto, emo was one of the biggest factor of us (and roma unfortuntely) winnin the scudetto. hes world class and i think you need to learn more about the game

Emerson IS overrated though. He needs a horrible amount of fouls and is the main reason we look so slow. He's not half the player Vieira is to be frank.

i don't think that Viera is better he may be faster but not better. Emerson is a Dm, the only reason y Vieira look so good is that he is a more free role.

and by the way Vieira makes far more fouls than Emo

Vieira is a little more...
impressive to watch...
he isnt that better than Emo,
but Vieira has the edge as he is a little more complete midfielder,
he is more powerfull,better going upfront,faster much better in the air game and has some leaders abilities...
Puma has a very balanced and calm play,
both players may manipulate the flow of a teams play...

LM esp and the downfall of Camo sould be our topic here,
our dynamic duo is as good as it gets,
(though now we are facing some temporary form problems)
better leave it that way...

I disagree. When Emerson is unavailable the difference he makes on the pitch is extremely noticeable. If not for Emerson our defence would not be as solid as it is and Vieira wouldn't be able to get forward as often as he now does. Vieira is indeed a better player than Emerson but FFS Paddy is one of the best central midfielders in world football so not being as good as him doesn't make you overrated.
