Have you ever been to a USA-Mexico match on U.S. soil? ;)

Granted, not everyone there is a U.S. citizen, but a number are, well...
Yes I have, and I know exactly what you're talking about...I find it absolutely shameful and disgusting. Not to mention the people who taunt our team while being handed food stamps at the same time...but as such a loving nation we can't say boo to that, can we..

yea but i mean if you were to had been born of tanzanian parents would you still support said current national team?
If I had seen them play, known the players and been to their games, yes I would, I can't see why not.

so you're telling chances are someones of tanzanian parents, whos never been outside tanzania, can support teams like bahrain, TnT... etc
I don't get what you mean. I meant that if I am born Tanzanian from Tanzanian parents, like football and follow the Tanzanian football, have seen my national team play, know who plays, there, know who the coach is picking and who should pick, then I am supporting the Tanzanian NT and I should prefer them over any other national team.

I am not living in Lebanon and I do support the Lebanese NT. Well, I supported them, it was long ago that they were out of the competition :p

But I do wait for other events so I can support them.

For example, Lebanon has made it to the Basketball WC, for the second time in a row, and I support them there as well.

That's not exactly what I said...read my post again. Many fans in this world could not care less about their own national team and just follow the Azzurris of this world instead...you are free to support whoever you wish but at least you should support your own country along with another nation if you choose. But supporting another country over your own just boggles my mind...makes absolutely no sense to me. Now if you're nation is not involved in the tournament that's another story..
I don't call them glory hunters also..

there is no rule that says you should support your own country, but it's just a sympathy you have toward your nation's team, something to be in blood.but if you don't have it,you are not a betrayer also,it's just a sport, people forget that in the end..

but some people take it even further, for example Nawaf,he feels sorry for Turkey's exit, because they are an Islamic country, sorry Nawaf but that's just rubbish  ,but sadly that many Muslims feel that way also,if ot most of them..

This could get pretty hairy pretty fast, snoop, as a number of Muslims also see national borders as something of a bunch of arbitrary divisions brought about by 19th century colonizers, etc.
