i honestly think if other teams come in for players were interested in then players will move to the other teams, if arsenal want mavuba that is where he will go because of title challenges and cl football, i hate to say it but its the truth, secco is not to blame if players dont want to come here, we'll have to wait and see

Bordeaux's highly sought after star Rio Mavuba claims he has received a 'super offer' but is still no nearer to making a final decision on his future.

The Manchester United and Arsenal target has impressed in Ligue 1 this term but is unsure whether a move away could impact on his chances of appearing for France at Euro 2008.

Juventus and Valencia are also rumoured to be in the running for the Angola-born midfielder.

"I have to make the right choice for my career," Mavuba explained to But!

"I am 23 and have opportunities to move but the Euros are close and I can't make a mistake.

"I have a super offer that I can't reveal but nothing is done."

 I don't get why you gets don't like Rio.
I like Rio. He is good. But if we pick him than we will still need to pick up another more experienced DM. We shouldn't waste our money on young players in central midfield. Don't forget about Jan '08 transfer windows. We can't just build our team on hot talent.

Since whe did we become chance givers? We have enough prospects. We need some experience in Serie in order to qualify for champions league. There are tons of young players we can buy every year.
Exactly we do have lots of prospects, but they do not have a wealth of experience in Serie A. Mavuba has played a whole season, and very well too.

yes we can (not just about Rio) if world class players and good players don't want to join us, then our best option is to find mercenaries and young talent who are hungry for glory and a chance to prove themselves. I expect the managment to go for a bigger push for younger players if we fail to obtain the "proven players we want. It may seem risky, and it is (I don't like to many youngsters in the line-up) , it could pay off in the short term (and definately in the long term)

honestly i think juve is a better career move for him than the others
without taking anything away from our current players,if he comes he will be a definate started. at man utd and arsenal he will have a lot of competition from the likes of carrick, most probably hargreaves, ronaldo, fabregas, rosiscky etc
so juve is the right choice!

The Serie A is a tough league to come into and just be a starter. You don't neccessarily need a lot of pace or creativity, but you do need technical ability and tactical savvy. I beleive players like Mavuba and Sissoko would need to spend 1 year in a rotation system in order to be successful in Serie A.
