OK guys, as everybody feels enthusiastic regarding Rio I would like to know how many games did ya watch for him?? is he really that good as everybody says??

So just list how many games did ya watch for Rio and how do ya rate him depending on what ya have seen...

Personally I've only watched that youtube video when he dribble past two players and score with France U21 team, I don't think it is enough to make an opinion about him.

I've only watched him a couple of times and not recently. He was solid rather than spectactular, I assume he has improved a lot since I last saw him before Juve are so keen and everyone here is wetting themselves with excitement.

I used to follow french football closely, while in france i saw a few games of rio. He is not yet the great midfield general, but he certainly could be.

He isnt a full time holding midfielder.
He isnt a playmaking regista. (Veron / Pirlo)

He does have good pace and is strong, particularily in the tackle. He is good at providing energy going forward ala gerrard.

But he isnt the complete article. Still rough with his passing.

The comparisons with Tigana are reasonable as apposed to viera or Makele.

If we compare him to other young French DMs (Lassana Diarra, Alou Diarra, Abou Diaby, Julien Faubert, Mathieu Flamini) is he better ?

Why do people judge players after one game? That way you can call any player crap. Scout´s job is to watch promising players for AT LEAST 6 MONTHS to give a proper report on him and you think you know everything about Mavuba after one game.

Why does DD want him then? Why does Manchester United want him then? Why does he play regularly in Bordeaux then? Why is he being called up in France national team then?

For fuck sake..... :disagree:

Ok guys , with Rio near to sign with us, where he will play, assuming that we have Frings and Almiron....or can we say we will play with 4 3 3 ....thus :

---------Frings-----Rio--------
-------------Almiron----------

and thats mean we will play with pure OM like Diego for example , and what about Neddy, Camo & Salih

What about them?

Nothing has yet been confirmed on Frings/ Almiron/ Mavuba.
