5th may 2002... I was in Udine and I enjoyyyyyyyyyyyyyed so much, one of my best day in my life!!! The best was to see El Gordo (Ronaldo) cryin' after the finish of the match and Materazzi sayin' "I give you the scudetto last year" to lazio players, coz in the 2001 he played for Perugia that won against us in the longest match of every time... the Universal Rain day!

Read the riddle carefully. There are some elements that show that it can only be him. If no one gets close by tomorrow I shall give one more piece of info.

And no it's not Angelo Di Livio, though there's no doubt this player served as a role model for the latter.

The fact that you said he mainly played for Juventus and was neglected by the NT is enough clues but I can't seem to find him...I will give it a try from home later today

Yes it is Beppe Furino.

He won 8 scudetti with Juventus (only Giovanni Ferrari won as many, though with different teams).
For some reason he was routinely booed and insulted in San Siro, and not liked elsewhere. He was retained for the 1970 WC but didn't play. Despite winning everything with Juve in the following 14 years, he collected a ridiculous 3 caps with the NT. The zebras had coined the nickname "Furia" to describe him, i.e. the Italian word for..."fury"

Indeed. I initially thought that Billy had been loaned in 87-88 and thus did not win the scudetto that year but after checking it appears that he was already wearing red and black.

Well then I guess Burke's riddle is the one that needs to be solved.

Answer should be Patrick Andersson, though I found that he made his int'l debut against Bulgaria, and Barcelona's stadium is not "olimpico"...

Anyway peeps, you should try to come up with riddles whose solution isn't merely on google. Try to make hints at anecdotes or spercific traits regarding the player etc.

We know that Barca's stadium is not Olimpico, obviously, as it's Camp Nou.

Notice how it says "Move onto a place with another Estadio Olimpico," not actually call your home Estadio Olimpico. The latter is Espanyol's home ground, so Anderson indeed moved to a place with another Olimpico.

He had played an a lot with Juventus and scored a lot and won a lot, but the thing is I couldn't get hold of his NT appearances so I thought I will give it a guess. ANd he had played mostly for Juventus if not JUST Juventus if I am not mistaken
