Why you guys so scared that he will not sign for us ?
He italian and he already said he wants Juve . he will 100% play for us .
yeah epl got more money, italians domt care . Caliweed will also make enough money in italy. and stay with his family and italian food . those are all very important factors for italians
There is one thing that should be taken lesson from EPL Clubs and that is they destroy talents, and awkward place for young players. I would say EPL fans are cancerous, they have zombie attitude toward players who are high paid in their clubs.

bro, they all have no clue about football . they are overrated in every single thing . and there is no way calafiori will choose a epl team above Juve

If Liverpool offer 60m, they're not gonna accept 30m from us. I don't know how far we can go in a bidding war. This doesn't only depend on Califiori. He's contracted to Bologna. They decide what offers they accept or reject.

Then there are the wages... If Liverpool or Chelsea offer twice as much in wages... He's not coming.

Italians would definitely choose better wages In a better run, more popular league.

Serie A is absolute trash now. We would be lucky if someone chooses playing for us over moving there.

It's sad but that's just how things are now.

No one is going to offer 60 million to a player from Bologna, especially not a defender. Now, someone might offer 50, but I feel if we bring our proposal up to 40, we will seal the deal.

R.Madrid have joined the race along with Liverpool, Man Utd(de ligt is their main target if doesn't happen then they try to get him) and Milan.

Seems like it’s getting increasingly difficult to get this deal done, there’s clearly a lot of competition from abroad for him and a bidding war is looking inevitable… only hope remains Calafiori’s will to stay in Italy and perhaps interest in continuing to work with Thiago Motta, but that can only help so much, to stand a chance we will be required to also put in a bid closer to the €50M mark to be able to find an agreement with Bologna.

Nothing is certain atm but i think we are still front runners for his signature, if he is as much of a priority for us as the rumors suggest then Giuntoli is probably working on it as we speak to find alternative formulas to make it feasible.

I'm still optimistic but atst I'd like to know what's plan b.

Keeping Huijsen? Kiwior? Buongiorno? Djalo to the rescue? In Rugani we trust? Gatti suddenly knows defending? De Ligt pls come back?

:panic: mode

I don't mean to cause more panic but it was clear as day that he was gone when he spoke English during an interview on Swedish TV. :snoop:

Let's be real. Swansea has more money for transfers then us, let alone bigger clubs.

Bye bye Calafiori.

At least you guys will never get the chance to call him Riccardon't or Cannotfocusiori.

In short : we are unable to offer a proper contract to convince him and lack the ability to compete with top clubs in term of money.
make it more short: we won't get him.

At the end of the day, if we want him, we're going to have to pay legitimate money for him. That's it.

Giuntoli deserves the benefit of the doubt. If he thinks Calafiori is worth investing in, and we can sustain that kind of financial investment, great. If he doesnt, there is probably a good reason and we should accept that.

After years of spending big money on players and looking for cheap alternatives to fill out the rest of the squad, I hope we learned to not go crazy over the flashy/expensive names if it comes at the expense of actually building a team.

I still think we get him, right at the end of the window. This will be similar to the Locatelli ordeal. Hopefully the player turns out better lol
yeah but this deal should have been done before euro started.

We all agree this should have been sealed before euros, but this is a two side bussines, it's just plain logical from Bolognas perspective to stall it and get price increased, you can't force them to do deals whenever we want right?
this is 100 percent true, but also in a way it's short sighted imo. because bologna too focused in the basel 40% clause

it's better for bologna to maintain good relationship with juve, because then it can get steady supply of cheap next gen talent over the next decade to develop and sell instead of a one and done deal with a foreign club. juventus has already shown it's willing to build good business rapport with other clubs for transfers such as bayern for example.
