Well, it wasn't too big of a jump for Camavinga and Tchouameni. But as someone else said it's a lot of competition so hopefully Calafiori does come here.
That's a little different, where they're playing in the midfield after a departing Casemiro and aging Kroos/Modric where they're going to save their legs. Those guys were going to get minutes every game with a bunch of starts mixed in. Camavinga even got starts at LB.
Not too many coaches love subbing out CBs in game. It's tough breaking into a lineup and getting consistent minutes for a team that won La Liga/Champions League and will have Rudiger, Militao, and Alaba returning next year.
Would that be a better choice for his development over going to a club like Juventus to continue his development for 2-3 years before making that jump? I dont know. I guess it depends on who you ask.
And of course, this is all hypothetical nonsense speculation. We have no clue if he's even on Real Madrid's radar, or if Calafiori has any interest in leaving Italy now or in the future. I'd bet my money on him playing in Serie A next year, and moving forward.
