Well, unless we all plan to pay for a new server for Marty to move it to, then no, I guess nothing is ;)

I believe Marty has already tried to speed it up a bit, and it's much faster than than yesterday for example.

I definitely concur. The tuning is helping. We are running faster than we've had for a while lately.

True. It's still not as fast as the old site, but it's not much slower either, it's bearable. Yesterday it sometimes took over 30, 45 seconds for the server to respon, today it takes maybe 2 or 3, 5 at most.

yes its true its faster than yesterday,
i remember waiting 10' to edit a post,
i wonder what will happen when i will start using a 56 modem connection...
i trust things will find their way,

Anytime there's a major site upgrade or platform shift, there's going to be some operational fallout in the initial days...even weeks. How the system responds to the changes can leave a whole different footprint for system caching, memory use, and other optimizations that need to be re-tuned.

Sorry... day job speak spilling out here. ;)

    It's there. If you click add rep, it defaults to I approve---but you can click I disapprove, as well. ;)
