well, since the Calcio scandal, Juve's reputation is not something to be proud of, I fear...

Remove it!

I would welcome a rep system that would encourage the posters to post more valuable posts,
that would really offer smth to the forums,
it is nice to see the good posts and posters becoming an exemple for all of us
and win the atention/feedback they rightfully worth for sharing their thoughts
and its nice for them to feel important and encouraged in a way
and go on keeping up the good work, that would work...
in a dream world...

but its not what happened, as many members have predicted it turned out to be a popularity contest and thats it...

some ppl post here only to gain some atention and to feel important
and some are getting offended they are considered less important, in a way, than others, the "system" has some conflicts with both groups,

i was thinking that some changes (like gaining a rep point only after 5-8 diferent members agree that your post contributed in a decent way to the comunity) would help,
the system would be rarely abused then, because the judgement of 5 different ppl cant go wrong so often, the system would be less available for meaningless games and probably a litle more fair in the long run...

but again soon or later problems would appear again, the system will be still more important than the good posts them selves,
many will dissagree and abuse the system on the purpose, as a complain vote to it.

I think the best solution would be to become less important and not a tool of popularity and furthermore become much more private,
any poster who needs to be encouraged would activate it
and be able to see his status and pro/contra comments in his control panel only,
the members who will choose to ignore it, for any reason,
SOULD have the right to totaly ignore it and not be constantly bombared from other memberses squares,
today they do not have this right, since it cannot be completely ignored.
( i suppose the site cannot support options for the individual turning off of the system)

IMHPO i think the one interested to know/learn the quality members of this forum will easily do it after spending some time in the forums anyway
and everybody's personal opinion/judgement values more than the rep points given to a user from his friends,
like we did before the system,
quality cannot be hidden or measured but it can be imitated...

I also think its heavily overrated...
Anyway who can judge whats fair, the public opinion? were there any guidelines or rules for this system?
Did anyone demanded to be fair or used for any particulary reason?
just have fun with it or ignore it...

Well, I won't get down to your level by giving you a negative reputation just for racial reasons...

Don't do it again, and if you want to do it, be a brave man and admit what you did...

You know, nobody will hurt you...

I always cite my name in the rep... well almost always unless I forget . I didn't neg rep you now or anything if you got it from someone, relax with your paranoia. and i didn't rep for racial reasons, simply racist statements.

You're living in denial, mate...

You can deny it as much as you want...

I really don't care about this reputation thing, but I like to deal with brave people...

it really is'nt an issue. but i have a simple suggestion that could help, why not earn points for every post a person submits or for example a fixed amount of points is earned for every 10 posts submited ( if this point is unclear bozi can def better explain it cos he knows what i mean). it would help and encourge people to post. i honestly dont know how a person can gain points if he has lost them in the v-bookie section of the forum. i mean there has to be a better way than asking someone to loan u for example memebers who lost tonnes of money betting on valencia ( valtko :D ) or people who r just sooooo unlucky (me) and bet on the wrong team.

if the rep system is to stay i would prefer the name of the person who reps to be shown to make things easier and clearer.

it wasn't all on valencia.

as for the poll, i don't really care, but should it stay it would be nice to see who left the rep, both positive or negative.
