Problem I have with Veiga is, he is not worth 40 mill... we are somewhat blinded by his 'grinta' yes I get that it's lovely etc... but under a 3 man defence he has shown his defensive flaws and I hope we don't sign Veiga, the system also hinders his ability to use his passing range which is actually one of his main strengths and is more on show in a back 4 system. He is not anywhere near the 40 mill chelsea want for him.

Had we stuck with a back 4 system, I might be inclined to think otherwise as he looks far better in that system, but I still think he has some glaring flaws to his game.

Serie A valuation of him is about £20m, so far us buying anyone from that self entitled league comes at a high premium. We just need to stop buying players from there and italy and focus our efforts shopping in the farmer leagues.

I thought his passing was surprisingly poor for someone who used to be a centre mid. I was expecting much better.

at the moment veiga is the better player but savona has potential. we should have both and see which one gets better over time. keep bremer, veiga, rugani, kalulu, savona, get rid of kelly. still underwhelming but better than selling savona, keeping kelly and playing him ahead of rugani or veiga

40 mil for this guy is nuts even for today's standards. Its like Juventus asking for 50 milion for Gati which also is very unrealistic.

He is a good defender but still very raw and we saw him getting exposed last year a lot of times.
