Problem I have with Veiga is, he is not worth 40 mill... we are somewhat blinded by his 'grinta' yes I get that it's lovely etc... but under a 3 man defence he has shown his defensive flaws and I hope we don't sign Veiga, the system also hinders his ability to use his passing range which is actually one of his main strengths and is more on show in a back 4 system. He is not anywhere near the 40 mill chelsea want for him.

Had we stuck with a back 4 system, I might be inclined to think otherwise as he looks far better in that system, but I still think he has some glaring flaws to his game.

Premier league valuation which equates to £35m, slightly steep but probably accurate in their market. Serie A valuation of him is about £20m, so far us buying anyone from that self entitled league comes at a high premium. We just need to stop buying players from there and italy and focus our efforts shopping in the farmer leagues.

:agree:

I thought his passing was surprisingly poor for someone who used to be a centre mid. I was expecting much better.

For that silly money we pass and find somebody else. He doesn't have any standout attributes which warrant such a price. He's not a great free kick taker or anything.

I've said it for a while now, we should buy from france. Fuck the Italian clubs that want to milk us for every euro, fuck the NT too, so long Gravina is in Power I hope they fail under his watch.

Rumor is we will sell Savona to get this guy back.
at the moment veiga is the better player but savona has potential. we should have both and see which one gets better over time. keep bremer, veiga, rugani, kalulu, savona, get rid of kelly. still underwhelming but better than selling savona, keeping kelly and playing him ahead of rugani or veiga

no one wants to meet chelseas valuation for him, villareal being the latest. These premier league clubs have no motivation to lower their asking prices, but if they did, veiga would be a good investment at 20M.

They say Villarreal can't meet the financial requirements either now.

⁉️ Renato #Veiga would have already expressed his desire to go back to #Juventus in case of a transfer, with the bianconero club that could make a move during the last days of mercato, in a way to snatch him from #Chelsea with favorable conditions.
