No transfer excites me anymore. This lad is probably class, but he’ll also probably turn into absolute dross the second he puts on our shirt.

It just feels like we're the place talent goes to die. I'm really hoping Motta can fix this.

Another component is the added pressure that simply doesn't exist at clubs like Aston Villa and Atalanta. We're one of the most followed clubs in the world and by far the biggest in Italy - which means news outlets make money talking about us. Every error a young kid makes gets magnified to find a talking point.

dont be that pessimistic - Conceicao came here and is looking really good, Kalulu is playing like a rock, Thuram got back to his best pretty fast after an average season.
Its only Koop and Luiz who suck. Hard to judge Nico because of the injuries, but he is scoring some goals and getting asssists.

I don’t really count Silva, but yeah I think better than Tomori. Or at least I’d rather have Veiga.

that would be ideal for me since I want both lol. I also seem to be in the minority with Kelly, I think he’s good. He wouldn’t be coming here to start anyway.
yeah, but imo it will be Kelly and this guy. Kelly on loan with option and this guy will probably be bought with obligatory or out right. It would require to much money to buy him and Danso probably.

Get this guy and stop. The rest will probably just be a waste of money anyway...
If we terminate Danilo we need to sign one more player at LCB and preferably a left footed. I would take both Veiga and Hancko

Here's the options for each position:
LB: Cambiaso, Veiga, Hancko, Cabal, McKennie, Rouhi
LCB: Bremer, Hancko, Kalulu, Veiga, Cabal
RCB: Gatti, Kalulu, Savona
RB: Kalulu, Alberto, Savona, McKennie

I was saying no one else exactly because Hancko apparently is already agreed upon for the summer. If we add someone like Kelly now (on top of Veiga), wtf will be his role once Hancko arrives...

Technically Luiz performed superbly at Aston villa, He just doesn't fit into Motta's system, maybe he would do better if he was given a role based on his form. Look at Aston Villa's performance and tactical analysis in 2023/24 provided by themastermindsite.
Douglas Luiz has the quality to control games from midfield.
Douglas Luiz can always strike from distance.

Today #Chelsea will clarify to #Juventus the situation regarding loans (they only have one slot available). For this reason the Blues want a permanent transfer, while the Bianconeri are pushing for a loan with option.

That's why Giuntoli is trying on a loan formula. Adding Kelly as a temporary backup to Kalulu at LCB and only make it a permanent transfer if he comes out big.
But I would much rather we invest in Hancko now, adding Hancko now and not wait 6 months. We need Veiga and Hancko now.

the problem is Feyenoord doesnt want to release him now, they are having pretty shit season, might turn even worse if they let him leave.
Right now it looks like max what they could get is CL qualifies, which is a problem for his tranfer in the summer too, as they will probably try to keep him until the qualifies are finished.

I would still up our offer to take him now. It's worth another €5m or whatever it takes to get him now rather than in 6 months. But if they refuse we need to add a loanee without obligation like Kelly

we don't need hancko now or ever. a 28 years old who spent his entire career in semi professional leagues should stay the fuck away, especially for mentioned price.
sure — it's not like barzagli, mandžukić, or tévez were 29 when they joined the club

"spent his entire career" if you had a clue you'd know he was in another semi-professional league called serie a before
