It seems we will get him, it is looking good on videos but let see. Better than that guy from Newcastle
I see him as Cambiasso heir,I dont think that we will get him for cb position

Enzo Maresca on Renato Veiga:

"It was a technical decision to leave him out."

Better than Tomori and Antonio Silva?
I don’t really count Silva, but yeah I think better than Tomori. Or at least I’d rather have Veiga.

Veiga and Danso are my bet. Veiga is a young guy who could cover LB while Danso is a proper CB to bench Ggatti.
that would be ideal for me since I want both lol. I also seem to be in the minority with Kelly, I think he’s good. He wouldn’t be coming here to start anyway.

From the little ive read about him Chelsea have been using him again LB and CDM but his preferred position is CB and he wants to leave to play in that position more so he can decide a place at CB with Portugal.

Seems to rarely play CB.
At Chelsea he never got going, but that’s because they’ve been using him for depth as a versatile utility player, and they are staked in the CB department too, whereas at Basel not sure what was going on but he was being used more often as DM but also as CB many times.

Otherwise with the Portugal NT and U21’s he has played exclusively as a CB, and rightly so due to his size, so wouldn’t be surprised if we go on to use him as a LCB/LB hybrid because it fits our current five at the back tactics.

From most of the names we’ve been linked with this guy is sure one of the most interesting ones, can provide us depth on multiple positions because he is versatile along with having plenty of room to still grow and improve, only downside is the same as with everyone this age, he will likely still be inconsistent, make some mistakes and we’ll need to be patient about it, but as i said he also has the quality to make an immediate positive impact here.
