hrm, not that i am a pro listener, but according to a few recordings of their appearance on Rock am Ring this year all sounded just right. The attendees did seem to enjoy their performance as well. i read a contrasting story about roskilde which did not mention the alleged "fail" and sometimes it is just having a bad day which can happen to everyone.
