Van der Sar is beyond his best.

And the best keepers play well until they are probably 33 or 34, at the longest.

You can have Kahn for Buffon, as Kahn is in his prime age of 37.
Burkey burkey , always with his sense of humor, comparing Buffon with the lobotomized piece of dead meat Bayern uses as a goalkeeper....face it, banjo boy, Kahn is not in his prime nor ever will be. For him, there is not such thing as "his prime".He has costed a final WC to Germany and endless embarasment to Bayern....

cassilas is a good keeper but he is no buffon. wouldn't sell him for nothing, he has at least 5 years of top football in him. i don't see the point of selling him. out of all the players we could cash in, he is the last on my list. gigi stays. :boxing:

Yes, but I dont understand your point?
non italian keepers could fail in italy. VDS was world class with ajax, but not with juve. the same can happen with cassilas too. We all know what Buffon can,and that he is the best, so why should we take such a risk, and then we have a goalkeeper problem just like ManU for years

A return of anything near what we paid for Gigi would be a sound piece of business, I do suspect Buffon is far from his best after surgery and will probably remain so for a considerable amount of time. IMO there are keepers available for a much lower price with little(if any) discrepancy in ability; if Perez opens his wallet just a little wider I'm excited at the prospect of what Moggi could do with the remaining money.

Casillas being one of them. ;)

I personaly am a fan of Iker, he's a great shot stopper, good on 1-on-1s and has fantastic relfexes. He's not the best at crosses and airballs, but he's not worse than Abbiati either.

    Buffon resta alla Juve
    21 12 2005

Prima dobbiamo avvisare i genitori, no...".

    --------------------------------------------

    Gigi stays with juve,
he wants to get 100% fit in january.
He say´s that it is not true that he might go to real. His future is here at juve, in a an almost perfect team.

forza BUFFON come back Nr. 1 :weee:

Well atleast Real's interest in Buffon are signs of working logic.

Last summer they went after Robinho and Bapista, I mean wasn't it clear what Real was missin in their line-up?
To add to all that they bought Sergio Ramos, the highly rated but very young defender for a whopping amount, they need a defensive leader in the back and they don't currently have one.
