Casillas: No Agreement With Real
5/18/2005 12:21:00 PM
Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has insisted that he’s reached no agreement with the club over a new contract.
The Spanish international did, however, insist that he wants to extend his stay at the Bernabeu, and also announced his intention to see out his career with the Merengues.

"I have not reached any agreement," he said. "I want to stay at Real Madrid, I want to retire in this club.

"It is something for my representative. I have already said often what I think on this subject."

The 24-year-old's current contract expires in 2006.

New transfer speculations about Real wanting Buffon.

Sports.it thinks we have a valid replacement in Abbiati and that Moggi would pull a 'Zidane' by selling Buffon at the peak of his carreer. They mention a price tag of 40 million Euro. That money would allow Juve to pay the salaries of new players...

here's a lousy babelfish translation:

btw: Fabio Hat is Cappello. and 'Large' is ... Grosso
EDIT: Italian Goblet is the Coppa Italia. and Christian Has is Christian Abbiati.

The Real Madrid us new evidence: after to have try Fabio Hat - than much average spagnli they continue to already consider the next technician of the merengues - and to have tried sondare the land for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, hour the Blanca House seems intenzionata to giving the onslaught to an other bianconero, Gigi Buffon. To beginning 2005 they had already been voices of a Madrilenian interest for the number a juventino and, although recently it has been the extension of the contract to Illker Casillas until 2011, the Iberian ones by now would have been decided to acquire the porter of the National Italian. The offer already would have been prepared: for Buffon a check of 40 million euro would be ready, even with the hypothesis than to increase the operation to Zlatan Ibrahimovic (others 50 million euro) inserting in any case in the negotiation one between Ivan Helguera and the same Casillas. In Juventus house, in spite of the refutation official, the hypothesis of one cession but only of Buffon is being estimated. Because in Course Galileo Ferraris he is being believed to yield the strongest porter is tied at least two reasons. Before he is of character pure physicist: if the test with the Fiorentina in Italy Goblet is excluded, Gigi still is not returned in field after the incident suffered to the Trophy Berlusconi and on its future rendering there is some doubt legacy to the physical effectiveness. According to reason he is of technical-economic character: leaning itself on one defended excellent and a centrocampo I toast, the bianconeri in fact have demonstrated of being able to less make of theirs also exceptional porter, thanks also to the fact to have found in Christian Has a valid substitute to you: to renounce to Buffon, having in hand a valid alternative, insomma, would not be an operation kills. At the same time, with economic level the cession of Buffon would concur with the Juventus to arrange the social budget and to continue to make important investments on contracts for new players. Above all in case of arrival to june of Casillas, the Juventus - than in the meantime it must have closed the Abbiati-Zebina exchange with the Milan - would hold the Spanish porter (excellent defender whose qualities are sosottostimate chronic cause weakness of the madridista defense) and would yield former-rossonero more an other element - Zalayeta? - to Palermo for having two players between Large, Barone and Barzagli. Obviously, for the moment the Juventus is not - still? - entered in the optical to yield Buffon but if the Real realized its offer to Turin they could also begin to think seriamemente to accept the Iberian proposal. Historically, if the contropartita one is favorable - you see Zidane case - the Old Mrs. is not pulled never behind. We remember that after the happened one of Sunday slid on the Cagliari, the Juventus will return in sbato field evening to the Olympic one against the Lazio in one of the advance payments of 16^ the day,

True. Real arent very smart tho, the goalkeeper position is the last place they should look for reinforcements, they have arguably one of the best 3 goalkeepers in the world there, they need to look at the people in front of him.

lol, perhaps they're buying GG to put him in goal with Casillas :D

jokes aside, i have to agree with Z and Des. Casillas' reflex action is superb. i saw many of Real's game, and he made numerous great saves. he'd do well with Canna-Thuram in front of him, just like GG

Real to dive in for Buffon Wednesday 14 December, 2005

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not content with making eyes at Juve Coach Fabio Capello, Real Madrid are now intent on luring Gianluigi Buffon to the Bernebeu, according to reports in Italy.

Real Madrid have struggled to keep goals out again this term and, after two under-performing seasons, seem to have decided to look at the problem area of their defence.

Although Ilker Casillas has signed a new deal with Los Meringues until 2011, Real are said to be willing to use him as a make-weight in a swap move involving the Italy No 1.

Buffon has long been regarded as the best goalkeeper in the world and the Bianconeri would be reluctant to offload the man who became the world’s most expensive shot-stopper when they signed him from Parma for £33m in July 2001.

However, selling Gigi may not be completely out of the question for Juventus, who run a very tight ship in terms of their finances.

Buffon has yet to make a League appearance this season due to a shoulder injury that has restricted him to one indifferent Coppa Italia display.

Yet Juventus have taken Serie A by storm in his absence, winning 14 matches out of 15, coasting into a 10-point lead in the table and winning their Champions League group stage.

It also remains to be seen whether the 27-year-old will ever fully recover from the dislocated shoulder that he sustained in the pre-season Berlusconi Cup in August.

Buffon himself has been taking a notably long time to return to first-team action and suggested that he is struggling mentally to get back to his old self again.

"I still have a few psychological issues to deal with and I am not physically 100 per cent fit either," he confessed recently.

It could be argued that with Juve doing very well without their first-choice guardian between the posts, and if the price is right, now could be the time to cash in on him.

Real are said to be ready to offer £27m, or a cash plus Casillas deal, to tempt director general Luciano Moggi to part with their star ‘keeper.

Such money would go a long way to bolstering Juve’s coffers, helping to finance future transfer operations and funding their new stadium reconstruction plans.

Again with this crap, Madrid really have to stop trying to make a half Brazil half Juventus Team. Leave our players alone you bastards.

They renewed with cassilas until 2010 last month and now they look for buffon.
And the intresting point is that they weak point is defensive part of the team.

and still they don't know thier next coach. Forget real...
