Emerson eyes Madrid move

Brazilian star Emerson looks set to join Real Madrid in the summer after telling Juventus chiefs that he wants to quit the Turin club and move to Spain.
The former Roma midfielder was due to link up with the Bernabeu outfit last summer for €18 million, but he opted to join Juventus after giving his word to Bianconeri boss Fabio Capello.
Negotiations are now ready to commence with Los Merengues, as Emerson seems to have his heart set on a move to Spain to join compatriots Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo.
According to reports in the Spanish media, Real supremo Florentino Perez was asked by his counterpart Luciano Moggi which Juve player he wanted to buy because 'they are all for sale', before the two sides met in the UEFA Champions League in March.
Although Perez did not give a name, both sporting director Arrigo Sacchi and manager Wanderley Luxemburgo have identified Emerson as a potential candidate to further reinforce the midfield following the signing of Thomas Gravesen.
Talks may have to include a swap deal as Juventus are likely to want a Madrid player, with a defender being their priority as their first-choice back four are now all over 30 years of age.
Walter Samuel is the main target with Capello a big fan of the Argentinian international having signed him for Roma.

Samuel is a great player! one which I rate very highly and I really hope that we will get him when he was with Roma I rated him the best defender in the world now at Real I didn`t see him play so I can`t tell
About Emerson I really hope he stays but if we sell him atleast we get a world class midfielder the only ones which I rate at Emerson`s level are Steven Gerrard and Vieira! I also heard that this Essien guy is pretty good too so maybe we can get him too I also rate Davids highly but that was a couple of years ago don`t know how good is he now

Capello won't leave but Emerson might.
Perez knows he fits perfectly into madrid style of play. Emerson has the skills of an attacking player yet his defensive ability and awarness is outstanding. Thus I think Madrid will pay a good amount of money for him, coz he fits better than Vieira.
As for Samuel, I don't know y he is terrible in Madrdi, makes stupid tackles and fouls. He was smarter at Roma. This is a gamble coz I'm not sure he'll regain his form in Italy.
