They got absolutely dominated against Atletico; their defense is rubbish. I'm sure our defence is better than Atletico's, and our attack should be able to score at least a few goals against that disgraceful back line.

Then again, you're right; if Canna or Thuram get injured we're screwed. Worse yet, Cannavaro's on a yellow card, so he could miss the second leg, and, assuming we get further in the competition, he'd always be in danger of missing a crucial CL knockout match :irritate:

cuz i dont think luxomborgo is a very well tactics wise.He just screws with their heads. Also the brazilians love him.

Capello should prepare all the players mentally so they can outplay them in the game.I think this game is harder than the one a few years ago, even though ronaldo,figo,zidane,raul, were in their prime, and now they are not the same.
Now especially zidane, figo, and raul want to prove they are not just old farts who r worth nothing. They want to show they are even classier and they can produce better performances.
Also there is the element of walter samuel , who knows our players very well.and he will want to perform against juve.

also they have gravesen now in midfield who is very very strong, so we may have a problem. There is also the speed of owen who i think is gonna the most problem for our " not soo fast defense"

We need a defender that can play in the Champions League. Since Everton seem to still be in the Christmas mood, why not go for Yobo?
I think he's their best defender and he's still young.
Then there's Berson at Aston Villa as a defensive midfielder. But not to forget that young man from Argentina... Mascherano!

i like mascherano, hes a great talent, but again u have to think if hes a stable performer or not. cuz if we r gonna get him, it wont be cheap, and with a huge bill we should be sure he would perform.

just look at samuel in madrid, hes just not getting better.Thats why i think a defender from serie A is always better.
