Hahaha. Aftonbladet. The worlds least reliable source.
They just put words in the mouth of Mino Raiola (Zlatans agent). "It is true that Real are interested. And about the sum that you are mentioning, it may seem surprising but fact is I'm not surprised. During this year, Zlatan has developed and he is as of right now the best player in the world".

Now, I doubt he said half of this. But bottom line is, Real Madrid are interested, and they have been in touch with Zlatans agent. You can be sure of that.
But don't trust the given price for a second.
It's just bull.

Aftonbladet got their news from Göteborgs Posten. I believe GP is a reliable source.

70 million? I'd be showing Real where to sign the check!

I like Zlatan and all, but that's an insane amount of money. In fact, it's so insane, it's self-destructive and idiotic ... but what more would I expect from Real Madrid when it comes to buying far more offensive players than they can field?

So we would absolutely have to jump on that deal. Not only would we practically fund some massive transfers -- arguably even better than how trading Zizou brought us championships in funding the likes of Nedved, Buffon, etc. -- but it would also screw Real out of an immense wad of money.

Talk about a win-win situation. :D

Please, people dont be naif, this another strategic rumor created by the Mighty Lucianone to higher the possible bids we will receive this summer for many of our players....trying to capitalize our scudetto ...

With the actual market, even florentino isnt stupid enough to spend 70 million in a player.....

I don't know, perhaps we should wait until Zlatan gets a bit older and develops his skill, becoming perhaps the best player in the world and driving his price tag up to a record-breaking amount. Then we sell him to the highest bidder for more than just 70 million. Of course this is after he helps us win more Scudetti and perhaps the Champions League.

Yeah, that sounds better than selling him now like a bunch of fvcking imbeciles.

don't sell - spoiled pack :D

Isn't it a great feeling of satisfaction to buy a player for a much lower amount, let him be an important part of the championship, increase his value extraordinary and then just say "NO" to a 70 million Real offer? We simply don't need Gila as we are prepared enough in the attacking section. Moggi should focus on midfield and defence - these can/will create (more) serious troubles.

Sometimes, money isn't enough.

Interesting way to look at it.

Its particularly hard for Juventus. On one hand there is nobody who's guaranteed to replace him, but you'll be stuck with 70 million Euros.

Especially since Juventus' recent financial reports arent exactly peachy.

I have mixed feelings about this. Zlatan was one of our best players this season and he helped a lot. I find it silly to sell a player that a team can be built around and can give so much for the team. I feel selling such a success is a step backwards and we would be starting all over again next season.

On the other hand the offer is too much tempting as it will give lots of transfer money to replace him. But then I will agree with Andy that waiting a bit more on the payer might give more money than what they are offering now.

Why won't they offer such big amounts on Del Piero?

Exactly. It's just dumb business to sell a young player now when he has far more to give and could raise his price tag by a few million more. Why sell Zlatan when we can sell Zambrotta and Trezeguet? Just stupid business if we sell Zlatan this summer.

if he came we will win all the trophies next year
Yeah, and that's why Ronaldinho will not be sold for whatever amount.

Just imagine if his finishing and set pieces improve and grabs another title (wether domestic or regional) how much his price will increase.

Andy football is unpredictable. You never know what will happen next season. An injury might hit, he might get phased out by the team tactics, he might lose hi form. Look at your very own Del Piero over the seasons.
