The Welsh is the most difficult though, right? It's like they've their own language or something.

They do have their own language. :p http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welsh_(language)

Some Scottish accents and the Cork/Kerry accent can be difficult to understand at times. I never really find American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand etc accents hard to understand because they seem to speak slower than Irish and British people.

Not all Welsh speak that language though, as I've heard it depends on which area they live in, that's why I wasn't sure whether it was their primary language or simply the language of their ancestors that they still keep alive but apparently it is their language.

I've never had any difficulty understanding any English accent except that of Welsh TBH :D

That's pretty much what it is, like Irish.

Lebanese is really the best arabic accent to hear n very easy to speak as well.

    Syrian is too rough.

Gulfi Arabic is dumb but i do agree with JBF that Jordanian is the dumbest.

Yemeni and Sudanese are funny as well as Egyptian.
    :D

But when Egyptians try to speak formally they become the funiest.

North African Arabic is :sergio: (with the exception of Libyan,so Fred won't get angry):D

    Especially the Beirute :D
I heard the accent of North Lebanon once. I thought it was really nice.

Is it really that difficult for you guys to understand each other?
Yes, Tahir. The impact of Tamazight tribes language on their accent makes it very difficult for us to understand. In addition, they use French words too frequently because their countries were French colonies.

I like Moroccan Arabic. Sounds bad ass.

Is it really that difficult for you guys to understand each other?
Moroccan accent is extremely difficult to understand for most Arabs. I have a couple of Moroccan friends, and its like they're speaking a different language, i can barely understand a thing :sergio:

That hardly is Jordanian Rab :D

    Bagoom ba5abi6 3a 2akbar ra9 hassa!! FAHEM!! 2ana zalame ma btifrig ma3i aaah, basho5 3a akbar wa7ad 2ana, ma 3indeesh.

    Now that's Jordanian..:eyebrows:

In North Africa people consider all you zalamat's accent to be feminine.

    Ba2olak, bet2oly, 2araf etc :D

Morrocan, Algerian, Tunisian are difficult indeed.
Tunisian isn't that difficult, but maybe thats because their accent is close to Libyans. Have you ever heard Libyans talk, with the exception of Eastern Libyans, i think you'd find them a lot easier to understand than other North Africans.

I wish I knew Arabic, at least to be able to read it.

Not a pretty language for a foreigner though. It comes annoying to the ear. Not as ugly and as annoying as the Slavic languages (Polish takes the 1st place here, Martin :D), but not pretty in any case.
Greek on the other hand. That's pure sex

I always thought German is the ugliest language. It doesn't sound quite so bad to me now, because I'm used to hearing Dutch. But it's still the ugliest language I can remember ever hearing. Maybe I haven't heard the really ugly ones, whatever they may be.

On the Slavic front I have to say a) Russian sounds lacking intellectual stature and b) Serbo-Croatian looks kinda fruity on paper. Sorry, guys.

Don't have an opinion on Greek other than it's gibberish to me.

As for Arabic it's not particularly pretty but it's not so bad imo.

I always fear drowning when listening to Flemish.
