So...he didn't win anything, right? OK, glad we got that settled.
Look, Ranieri is not
that a bad coach, he's a good coach but for clubs like Fiorentina, pre-Abramovich Chelsea, etc. He's not a coach for a big club like Juventus, sorry but he's not. You can't even say he's inexperienced, the man is working on the job for like over 15 years, yet he never managed to coach a great side or win anything worthwhile. You're fooling yourself if you think he's responsible for Valencia's succes after he left, let alone Chelsea's. He was replaced by a more capable coach, not much more capable in Cuper's case but a lot more in Mourinho's. Either way he had his chance in both clubs and failed, end of story.
There's a big difference between coaching Juventus and Fiorentina, doesn't matter that we're not strong as we once were, we're still Juventus, one of the biggest clubs in the world. More importantly we're in a turning point in our history and we can't take our time to gain succes, it's pretty much do or die next season. If we don't achieve CL next season our club will suffer once again after relegation to Serie B, what will Buffon and the other champions say when we finish 6th? Oh it's not so bad, we'll do it next year. No! We need instant results next season, CL qualification is a minimum and everyone knows that. Don't kid yourself yb what the board was saying that we'll need 5 years to get back where we once were, they were just taking the pressure of their shoulders. We don't have that much time and they know it.
Because of that Ranieri is not a man for the job, his history of coaching middle table clubs tells me that. He's done so many blunders throughout his career it completelly overshadows the few good points he's done, like developing some young talents. I'm not keen on taking a risk on him because this season will be far too important. We need a proven, world class coach.

T
hen you're supporting the wrong club, Juventus always prefered proven over the young and talented.
