LOL, this the Del Piero poll of coaches. :D

Ranieri? When I read he was leaving Parma my heart stopped for a second. He's the most overrated coach in history, I can't stand him, wherever he was he sucked. He did such a mess in Valencia it's border-line lunacy. I sincerely hope this is just BS. I'd take Conte over him.

Any coach who respects himself won't come to coach Juve at this point. He will be sacked whenever Lippi's period is over.

I still prefer Lippi but i think this man is the best option after him although he isn't a winning coach, Ranieri is one of the best coaches who can build a team but he can't win with it and right now we are building a team therefor he might be the best for the job but in his case the fans have to accept that it will be another year without much success. The guy built Valencia and built Chelsea...

He built for them their best squad in the last 30 years maybe(He made Angulo, Mendieta, Farinos, Albelda and signed the likes of Lopez and Canizares) then won with them the CL and the Coppa Del Rey ...yeah the guy sucked big time. Then with Chelsea he gave them Lampard, Terry, Gallas, and thats before Abramovic...after that he signed the likes of Crespo, Joe Cole, and most importantly Mekalele who proved to be one of the best signings in the club history..atm we are building a team and thats what this man can do so it might not be that bad at all if we understand that building is his best quality...

Yeah great let him makes us a team now, maybe 5 years after he leaves we will win something. What has he done with Valencia in his second reign? Bought Di Vaio, Moretti, Corradini and Stefano Fiore, all great signings one after the other, seriously I can't decide which one was better!!. Not to mention he single handedly ruined their best player for a number of years, Aimar. Who in their sane mind could purposely leave a player like Aimar on the bench, even when he is fit? He did that. The only club he did remotelly well was Chelsea, in the pre-Abramovich era. After Abramovich came the man spent over 150 MILLION EUROS on the likes of Duff, Scott Parker, Glen Johnson, Wayne Bridge, Veron, Crespo, etc. Surely with such a transfer budget he was bound to buy one or two good acquisitions in Cole and Makelele. Give me a break.. Still he failed to win anything, why on earth would you want him to coach Juve? To put it bluntly, the guy is a loosing coach, he never won anything, in small clubs or in big clubs.

His 2nd reign at Valencia lasted 8 month..now can you read this:

Champions League

With Aimar or without him he won the biggest thing this club history and if Ronaldinho was benched at Juve at the cost of winning the CL i wouldn't have cared that much...and also at Valencia he got all those players except for Canizares and Lopez without costing them a penny same as Terry, Lampard, Gallas...and who told you that we will win anything next year? our target is CL spot and he will achieve that..its not impossible but its fucking difficult even with Lippi because we don't have a team unless you want someone like Crapello who will fill the squad with 40 yo in order to win as long as he coach then leave us with fuck all...we need a team for the future and that is something Ranieri can do so stop moaning and bitching like alot of members on this forum who are acting like a bunch of women on their period.

Where do you get this from? Valencia never won the champions leauge, let alone Ranieri, he won them a Spanish Coppa! Valencia were in the CL final 2 times and not once with Ranieri, but twice with Hector Cuper. Are you high or something?

Twice with Hector Cuper but the players that Ranieri promoted from the youth system or signed by him..same case with Maurinho and Chelsea most important players at the moment.Thats what he does sorry if i put'it wron...but you are talking as if we have a world class squad and are just waiting for the winning coach..reality check we almost don't have a team or a coach and we don't have much money and we are just promoted from the 2nd devision. If we need anything atm we need someone who can build a team and since Lippi doesn't seem to be coming then Ranieri is the best 2nd option.

The diffrence between me and you is that i am realistic while you're not. Buying the likes of Vieira and Emerson or even Cannavaro wasn't team building it was team destroying..even if they achieved more than Appiah, Blasi, Maresca, but i'd rather wait to have a strong young team who will compete for 5 years instead of one that will last 2..and even now we don't have the luxury of buying established old stars to win fast so from that point of view Ranieri is our best option after Lippi.

So...he didn't win anything, right? OK, glad we got that settled.

Look, Ranieri is not that a bad coach, he's a good coach but for clubs like Fiorentina, pre-Abramovich Chelsea, etc. He's not a coach for a big club like Juventus, sorry but he's not. You can't even say he's inexperienced, the man is working on the job for like over 15 years, yet he never managed to coach a great side or win anything worthwhile. You're fooling yourself if you think he's responsible for Valencia's succes after he left, let alone Chelsea's. He was replaced by a more capable coach, not much more capable in Cuper's case but a lot more in Mourinho's. Either way he had his chance in both clubs and failed, end of story.

There's a big difference between coaching Juventus and Fiorentina, doesn't matter that we're not strong as we once were, we're still Juventus, one of the biggest clubs in the world. More importantly we're in a turning point in our history and we can't take our time to gain succes, it's pretty much do or die next season. If we don't achieve CL next season our club will suffer once again after relegation to Serie B, what will Buffon and the other champions say when we finish 6th? Oh it's not so bad, we'll do it next year. No! We need instant results next season, CL qualification is a minimum and everyone knows that. Don't kid yourself yb what the board was saying that we'll need 5 years to get back where we once were, they were just taking the pressure of their shoulders. We don't have that much time and they know it.

Because of that Ranieri is not a man for the job, his history of coaching middle table clubs tells me that. He's done so many blunders throughout his career it completelly overshadows the few good points he's done, like developing some young talents. I'm not keen on taking a risk on him because this season will be far too important. We need a proven, world class coach.

:wallbang: Then you're supporting the wrong club, Juventus always prefered proven over the young and talented.

Not the Juventus i started supporting back in Lippi day before that asshole Capello who raised the age of our team from 26 to 31. Right now we aren't a big club on terms of squad and we don't have zillions of euros to build a world class team in a second so like it or not we need to either develop or discover talents and Ranieir can do that..and as i said he can finish with us and get a CL spot it's not that hard at all as we can do it with a couple of more signings...but winning this year is a far possibility so Ranieri no win factor doesn't count for much here maybe if we had a team like Milan i would have agreed..
