You are the new "good" poster no? Seems like you were nothing but hype  :D
Thing is I would personally love to sign Rafinha or Ivanovic. I was hoping we would get Ivanovic last year but sadly it never happened and probably won't anytime soon. Zaccardo while not the best, I think, would be an improvement over Grygera. Plus he wants to leave Germany and probably would be available for cheaper then if he didn't want to leave. Now I'm definitely not a fan of spending cheap if there are better options but who else is there? Rafinha would be pretty pricey I think and I'm not sure Lazio would want to sell Lictsteiner. Motta would be another great one but I seriosuly doubt Roma will let him leave so soon. We have pretty limited options so we have to work with what's available.
Bring Barzagli too - he's young, promising and Italian, plus he's the new Cannavaro.

Molinaro-Cannavaro-New Cannavaro-Zaccardo

Doesn't this Siena-Palermo-and-36-yr-old defence look exciting? :weee:
No I don't want Barzagli. No thank you. I don't really want Canna to be our defensive signing either but it looks likely to happen. They've played together in the national side so at least they would have had some experience together. (Zacc-Canna) Honestly, I can't see us making any serious improvements in defense this year. We're going to spend most of the kitty on a "Nedved replacement" and then probably spend the rest on a forward we don't really need, while picking up defensive scraps along the way. All I'm saying is I'd rather have players who have at least played together and know how to play with each other since we won't be buying what we need. A new defensive line minus Chiellini.

He is just joking, that you are overrated like Montolivo :D We taught you are a good newb, but wanting Zaccardo is oxymoronic :D

Seriously, big frigging no to Zaccardo, he isnt improvement on Grygera, and Zebina is better then him, like having two Molinaro's on both wings.

Zaccardo plays DM in Wolfsburg. Surely Ranieri would be thrilled.

I voted him though because there was a rumor about loaning him to Juve in the winter of 2008 and I thought it was not bad to have a try anyway (there were so many injuries at that time).

It was a bad joke. Some people thought you were gonna be a great poster and then the Zaccardo post hence the you = to an overrated Montolivo.

    :p

Don't take it personal, we love having some fun here. I'm sure you'll be a great poster here and win the best newcomer for 2009 award. :D

Ahh, I see what you mean. I haven't seen him play much since he went to Germany to be fair. He surely wouldn't be my first choice for RB, but I seriously doubt we would buy anyone better. Don't rate either of our RB's to be honest. We need to just get our "nedved replacement" signed and out of the way and then I think we should go after Ivanovic seriously. He doesn't get much time at Chelsea and will be getting even less when Bosingwa comes back from injury next season. Plus they also have Belletti so I could see them letting him go for 10-15mil. I believe they paid 9 for him. The market is very inflated so unless we're buying youngsters we're going to have to pay to get some good players in.

Diego and Ivanovic would make me happy. Very happy. Only see it happening in my dreams though.:melayyanandmessi:

Ivanovic is realistic, depending on what next Chelsea coach thinks of him. But having both him and Criscito will be too defensive fullbacks, but yeah rather get him.

I know you would just settle with Zaccardo as last option, so you dont really want him, but we dont have to be that unambitious, we can do better.

I'd say going after any 1 of Lichtsteiner or De Silvestri should be our main priority.... It's said that De Silvestri has the potential to be one of the best RBs for Italy for some years (that's been one of the weakest positions for Nazionale).... I did see him in some matches and he looks pretty decent.... Even though Lazio might ask a lott for him, hey good players don't come cheap....
