From what i gather, it was completely Raul's choice to leave. He could have stayed and played a bit part role if he wanted to, but he chose to move in order to get more playing time.

I don't like Madrid, but they did nothing wrong here.

Delpie and Raul, while being at their clubs for quite a long time, are not true "youth products" as they were both purchased from other teams at very young ages. Guti I think actually came through the Real youth system.

And this is a business, it's not personal.
