2,

Krasic - quality signing the type we should be going for.

Aquilani - Good signing, only because his coming on Loan, had he been bought right out i would have been fuming.

Motta - Good signing, pleased with this one.

I wont bother with the rest.

Dissapointed to see how Diego was rolled out, he should have been told before hand and the stance should have been strong. Dissapointed to see Trez go only for us to pay his wages and no poacher brought as replacement.

3 some decent buys, if they succeed (Traore, Quag, Pepe, Martinez and Motta) and some promising buys (Krasic, Bonucci, Aquilani)
Some transfers I don't understand really, Rinaudo, that Swedish guy.
If we woulds have kept Diego, I would have given it a 4.

Getting rid of Diego and Seba really takes it down a few notches.

Krasic and Bonucci were good signings, the rest either mediocre or probably won't amount to anything.

I give the savior Marotta a failing grade, but not a zero.

I've tried to make sense of it all. This debacle of a mercato and the only explanation that comes to mind is that this 'new' Juve has tried to accomplish a few things:

1) Clean up Secco & Co.'s mess; their signings, their wage structure, etc.
2) Reinforcing each department of the team on a limited budget
3) Find new homes for players past their day OR while they can still bring in some $$

There was a lot to be done to revamp this team and it had to be done in a very short time period. People on here always complained about the likes of Zebina, Grosso, Legro, Sissoko, Amauri, etc. All these positions now see a different player. Sure, they're far from great but with a 50m budget I think it was very naive to expect world class players in each of these positions.

Pros: Krasic :xfinger:, Aquilani :xfinger:, Bonucci :xfinger:, Storari
+/-: Motta, Quag, Pepe, Martinez
Cons: Diego (maybe)

I'm willing to give this management, Marotta & Co., one more year before I wage Jihad on them.

Anyway, this was me trying to stay positive :boh:

3.25/5.

If this is the type of campaign we have next year if we qualify for CL then it will be a 1 for me. I'm expecting way more next year.

I really can't give it a grade since I think that it is too early to tell, considering that these guys have barely played together.

Come january, then I can probably make a reasonable conclusion
