Not so bad for first 24 hours !

By the way about spalleti, its not just this year, u guys still remember the embaressing 7-1 against manure ? anyway i consider him a good coach, but not juve material !
I would prefer Louis van Gaal. I see him a good coach and he would do much better than Ruineri. He is a winner coach, though with Juve he needs very good quality players. What do you say about him?

Not really. He had some great players when they were at their prime. They might had limited founds but nothing compared to this.

Lima/Candela-Samuel-Chivu (that was one of the best duos I've ever seen)-Cafu can't even compare to Riise, Cassetti, Panucci etc. Totti-Cassano (when they rocked) and even Batistuta worked under Capello if I'm not wrong while Roma now has older Totti and uber slow Baptista. Not to mention their midfield.

Roma went into crisis so many of their players were sold and they sucked. Voeller and Del Neri failed a big time and they were lucky that they got Spalletti who also did a great job with Udine if you didn't forget it.

Roma couldn't buy any players for one year due to Mexes' transfer and limited founds + Sensi's debt couldn't do any good for them. They had to buy new players for 5mln euros and even now it's not much better.
ok fair enough roma arnt the roma of the capello era, much like we arnt the juve of pre calciopoli, however with the ammount spent on players like baptista and menez, im sure capello would have spent it alot more wisely and would still keep roma the organised team that they are not now under spalletti

as much as i respect him for his achievements, he has a very distinctive style in his management and tactics which simply wouldn't suit us. and besides van gaal has already said if he cant get a move to a club like madrid or barca, then he will stay at AZ for one more season before retiring, p.s Ajax have been trying their hardest to bring him back as well.

im really not convinced by spalletti. You can argue his injury woes for all you want, but ive lost count the number of times roma have conceded 4+ goals in any one game in the last couple of seasons. and ok dru roma may not have the players like aldair, cafu, samuel, chivu anymore. But the current crop such as de rossi, Juan, Mexes, pizzaro etc... are far too good to concede that many goals every other game which is why i question spalletti's tactics and motivation.
I'm not really suprised because it's either Riise-Cassetti-Panucci-Cicinho or it's Riise-Mexes-Loria *(worst defender ever). Too bad you stopped there but you'd find it very hard to continue with the good players because that's pretty much all they got. But I'll go on and mention others like Perotta, Brighi, Taddei (oh if you don't like Marchionni you'd kill yourself if he had him), Baptista, Felipe, Tonetto and Diamoutene. I think it's enough.

Their team is just average at best right now. Try to question his work while at Udine.

But wait why do you keep say if Capello had that money? Or even better, how do you know it was Spalletti who asked for those transfers? I still rate Menez pretty high though. He never wanted Baptista. You think he wanted Loria?

They have Prade and you know what, he is like 10 times worse than Secco, believe me.

Do you think he was capable of doing that job with Udinese?

Why should we get Conte? Did he challenge for the Scudetto maybe? Oh no wait, he's in Serie B. Or if not him, why are we going after Gasparini, Prandelli or why did we appoint Deshamps? I forgot how many Scudetti they have won so far.

because capello would have baldini by his side to do the transfers not prade

its debatable whether or not he wanted loria, he did join roma after an decent season with siena.

So it's Spalletti's fault he got Prade next to him?

Well he never wanted Baptista and I can't agree about Loria, he was never decent. The guy is just too slow and so far I'd say he's one of the worst defenders in Serie A.

Manchester was just too much for them. I'm not trying to defend him now but I don't think he's the only one to take the blame. Roma players weren't motivated while every Manure's shot was goal and they were hungry. Bad match, yes, but it's funny how people keep mentioning bad results while and no one mentions this

    and many others.
In my post i mentioned that i consider him a goad coach, becuz of all good work he had done in roma, but u know, his team (like ranieri's team) has its up and downs and thats not something we want in juve.

It was not my point at all, you started saying how he wasn't in the race for the title while coaching Udinese so I don't see the point of you saying we should get Deshamps because he wasn't any better.

because deschamps comes across as a man with more character, he knows Juventus, a great motivator as shown in Serie B, a driven man, a man with ambition. which is more than what can be said about the blankness and and lack of emotion that he shows for roma. your only argument for spalletti for juve is his 'sexy style of football' and what he has done for udinese, but nobody has question his mental attributes which i believe has just as much importance

Lippi and Capello were never the emotional type either

Roma lacks balls and Spalletti has to be partly responsible for that.

That lack of balls combined with Spalletti's poor defensive tactics are what has led to Roma taking a few thrashings.

if you're talking about pity on a player then capello and lippi were never that type of manager yes, but if you're talking about conveying his orders and showing displeasure to a team's performance then i strongly disagree, with regards to lippi he knows a bad performance even if the team wins, unlike spalletti even if he loses, much like ranieri

    It's Roma's poor defense.

Man, 7 players in their team are just average at best while they have 4 Primavera players on their bench sometimes.

Spalletti lost Scudetto due to Inter's robbery.Back then he had balls, or even better, they didn't have such a lousy team.
