I rate Spalletti and I will welcome him any time of the day.

I think he could do a great job. (I know it sounds funny to say that now :p)

He is not that bad and would be an improvement over Ranieri, but i dont think it would be a big improvement.

I like how Spalletti looks clueless when on camera, funny :D

Spaletti has done some good shit, but the fact that when things get tough he puts on that trademark, clueless Ranieri-loser-face, makes me sceptical.

I'll ask you one question that I had to answer a few times to those who wanted Ranieri.

Find me some coach who can do a better job with Roma players? I don't really think you will because he has done some great job over there. They chocked this season but their team sucks while he did some great job few years back when no one could handle Roma and their awful form.

I think he'd come out great for us.

Simply not true Andrew & in all honesty i certainly didnt expect a statement like this from you.Television, merchandise & shirt sales generate huge income for clubs in general, asia specifically generates huge sales.Thats why teams like Real & Man Utd generally travel across the globe to promote their teams.

When a club buys a star player fans generally flock in to watch the player & buy a shirt with the respective players name.Take Beckham for example,Real doubled their merchandise sales, earning around $600m over a four year period. Can you honestly tell me that only fans that did attend Real's games contributed to that figure? We all know why milan bought Beckham.

I for one think your underestimating the power of fans not based in the country that a club is from.If Juventus is neglecting their fans across the globe then Secco & co shouldnt bitch that they make half of what other clubs make.Just my two cents worth.

I didn't say they would be right to ignore the petition.

It is well established that Juve's marketing department isn't as good as those of other top clubs.

anyhow didnt capello build a roma side with limited funds too?
Not really. He had some great players when they were at their prime. They might had limited founds but nothing compared to this.

Lima/Candela-Samuel-Chivu (that was one of the best duos I've ever seen)-Cafu can't even compare to Riise, Cassetti, Panucci etc. Totti-Cassano (when they rocked) and even Batistuta worked under Capello if I'm not wrong while Roma now has older Totti and uber slow Baptista. Not to mention their midfield.

Roma went into crisis so many of their players were sold and they sucked. Voeller and Del Neri failed a big time and they were lucky that they got Spalletti who also did a great job with Udine if you didn't forget it.

Roma couldn't buy any players for one year due to Mexes' transfer and limited founds + Sensi's debt couldn't do any good for them. They had to buy new players for 5mln euros and even now it's not much better.

im really not convinced by spalletti. You can argue his injury woes for all you want, but ive lost count the number of times roma have conceded 4+ goals in any one game in the last couple of seasons. and ok dru roma may not have the players like aldair, cafu, samuel, chivu anymore. But the current crop such as de rossi, Juan, Mexes, pizzaro etc... are far too good to concede that many goals every other game which is why i question spalletti's tactics and motivation.

Manchester was just too much for them. I'm not trying to defend him now but I don't think he's the only one to take the blame. Roma players weren't motivated while every Manure's shot was goal and they were hungry. Bad match, yes, but it's funny how people keep mentioning bad results while and no one mentions this

    and many others.
