He was their best player by a mile. I only registered one error in the entire match, and it was a small one (a pass to a Milan player when he was under heavy pressure). Other than that, he was flawless. Worked like a champion, managed to hold the milan midfielders off all of the time, directed Bologna's midfield play. Sacrificed himself a lot, received a lot of tackes (some of which must've been very painful, especially one from Van Bommel).
Here's the thing, I think Giovinco is the better player however we shouldn't be comparing these two players with each other, we should be comparing them to Pepe. We need a player that will run his ass off, attack and defend, and I don't think Giovinco is one of those players. Giovinco would be a good alternative to Vucinic, but Ramirez would be our upgrade to Pepe.

Ideally, we should have both, particularly since we will need a lot of depth come next season. However, if I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Ramirez as he has a lot of potential and is physically more imposing than Gio, not to mention more willing to run and sacrifice himself for the team.
