How did he perform against Milan? Other than the goal was he impressive?
He was their best player by a mile. I only registered one error in the entire match, and it was a small one (a pass to a Milan player when he was under heavy pressure). Other than that, he was flawless. Worked like a champion, managed to hold the milan midfielders off all of the time, directed Bologna's midfield play. Sacrificed himself a lot, received a lot of tackes (some of which must've been very painful, especially one from Van Bommel).

Giovinco fanboys still in denial.
In denial of what? Giovinco is the better player today and he'd come for a much lower price. Ramirez has more potential because of his age but he'd cost us a lot of money.

If anything, you're the one in denial of Giovinco's performances.

Ramirez is the most talented footballer between the two. Plus with him, we'd be getting a fighter for a starting spot, and not someone who expects a starting role in the team. Not to mention, he's no whiner neither.

Here's the thing, I think Giovinco is the better player however we shouldn't be comparing these two players with each other, we should be comparing them to Pepe. We need a player that will run his ass off, attack and defend, and I don't think Giovinco is one of those players. Giovinco would be a good alternative to Vucinic, but Ramirez would be our upgrade to Pepe.

Vucinic - Cavani - Ramirez
(Giovinco) - (Matri/Quag) - (Pepe)

Now that would be sweet. Both would be awesome.

Ramirez would flourish on the flank.

He has size, strength, pace, can dribble like there's nobody's business, and is equally adept at using both feet.

Keep in mind that I am very biased towards Gaston Ramirez.

I think that Giovinco is a very good player, and I am not going to bash him.

I just think that Ramirez has the potential to be something special.
Nothing wrong in being biased here, really.

I trust Serge and the cookie man.

Ideally, we should have both, particularly since we will need a lot of depth come next season. However, if I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Ramirez as he has a lot of potential and is physically more imposing than Gio, not to mention more willing to run and sacrifice himself for the team.

    Has it been that long?

As much as i would like him to come to Juve, I have the feeling that the asking price might be a little to high for him.

    We shall see, though.

From when I said it last Summer, yes. When we were very close. Seems we've only delayed it for a year.
