exactly

and we need a striker, not vucinic competition, arguable our best forward of the past campaign
It's not just about competition, but cover for Vucinic. We'll be playing in 3 competitions next season. If we want to take then seriously, then we need someone who can play in Mirko's position. Since we're losing DP, who would usually play instead of Mirko, we need another SS. Gio had a great season as an SS, so why not bring him back?

Now way, jose. :p

Will cost more, there will be better offers for the club, and the player will want a more ambitious project.
His agent is reportedly in Germany to discuss the deal. Most Serie A clubs pulled out. Probably a value raising stint by his agent, ala Ibrahimovic.

You don't think he could take Vucinic's place?
I wouldn't start Ramirez over Vucinic, I like Ramirez but a player like Vucinic is very rare. Only problem is his inconsistency but I'd take Vucinic on form over Ramirez on form any day.

I was actually talking about Giovinco, but ok :)
Oh, read from the bottom up! Sorry :p But it still applies I guess. I'd take Vucinic over Giovinco, especially as a left winger. Giovinco would be a really good trequartista, but I don't think he suits Conte's style of football.
