What does that mean, "either you fast or you don't"?

Sissoko's career requires extreme (or more than usual) physical fitness and so he doesn't have to fast because it could cause him harm (the possibility is always there). He can make up for missing fasting during this month in June or July when he's off or by giving food to the needy.
bingo.

Which makes me wonder if the whole bad match was a result of fatigue, or just because it was one of those off days.

after all expressing one's a religion should not be allowed. That's what Seven is hinting at.

To all you people who want him to stop fasting (if he actually is). Think about this for a while. He is fasting as part of practicing his faith. His faith being a spiritual bond between him and God. If you tell him to stop that bond with God, don't you idiots know that would affect him mentally worse than any fasting would?

I didn't want to bring this up, but you did.

If Momo is fasting during the season, he's not being a pro. Come on, Ze, you know that's how it is.

Christianty has evolved over the centuries, and there were times (still some sects) that fasted.
Now, on the whole even in Catholic Italy, the pay lip service to it.

You won't find DP advertising Condoms though.

I was just basing that off my friends who fasted during the season.

Why didn't you say this a few pages back? Might have stopped a bit of the Islam bashing.

your the one who needs to think it through, as your the one who is mocking the religion being called a religion of peace.
Oh God. Think it through. She/he says people had a better understanding of Islam in the past. Then she tells about people fighting a war for Islam. Do you understand what I'm hinting at?

According to Seven, workers need to be treated like slaves, work work work 24/7 don't get any breaks. If you're a woman, no maternity leave if you get pregnant, if you're a Muslim, don't practice your faith! if you're Christian, no Christmas holiday for you!!! evil Religions!!!!!!
I don't think I have to answer to this nonsense.

It could very well been an off day. It's ok to have an off day after performing very well for over a month. Molinaro has enjoyed an off day for more than year now; he's the real culprit. Maybe he's a closet Muslim.

Lion thinks these statements are both correct. Oddly enough this is impossible.

The important word in this sentence is IF. Why make such a stink if you don't even know if the guy is fasting?

Andries I think you're just trying to when an argument rather than make a point.

True, no one knows if he's fasting, so Momo is just getting shit for being a Muslim.

Some people consider other things more important than being "professional."

Not really. It has been an argument in Belgium for ages. We have lots of muslim players here and their performance always dramatically drops. Which is very very annoying as they can postpone their Ramadan, but refuse to do so. Hence I think it would be very unprofessional of Sissoko to fast right now.

Mascherano sucked balls in the CL last week, but I didn't call him a "faster". He was just tired.(Argie games coupled with Manc Spank) Perhaps Momo was tired as well.

Islam bashing is inevitable to avoid around here lol.

All I said was that if Sissoko wants to fast during game days AND if he's able to do so without letting it get to his performance then I don't see why it's any of our business whether he does it or not. But IF he's not able to do so without letting it effect his performance than he shouldn't do it. It's really simple.

Okay, no worries then. Let Sissoko fast and practice his religion in peace. If we happen to lose points on it, who cares? Few draws here, couple losses there, it don't matter. It's only a sport. His religion is clearly more important to the world than football, so we should cater to him at the expense of the people who pay money maintaining this club and the fans who pay for sporting events. This is the best way to go for all of us, because religions should be respected. :)

True, Ramadan can be postponed and Sissoko is indeed fasting then it is probably unprofessional if you're not a muslim and heroic if you practice Islam.

But until you know whether he is fasting or not... it doesn't matter.
