Raising the quality of posts? I came to Juventuz with the idea of having interesting exchanges with other Juve fans, & when I say interesting I mean productive...on whatever level, it can be informative, or just good fun, not serious at all & by fun I don't mean verbally sticking knives in people with a different opinion, or ridiculing someone who can't express himself better because English is not his natural language. I'm still new here & I know already that some will read my posts & others will wish I'd never been born, but that's just life. If I can contribute even one positive thing to Juventuz my time isn't wasted, & if anyone doesn't like what I write they simply don't have to read my posts again...from what I've seen so far in Juventuz, many of you have an idea not too different from mine as to why you're here at all, while some others can't exist without putting people down...it's no different to other chat forums & it can't be run as a schoolroom. What we do is watch the sanity of some rub off onto others, & the idiots vanish out of boredom!

This thread is idiotic, with no offense to the OP.

I mean come on, in just about everything in life some people are better than some others. That's the way it is, if someone doesn't like the quality standard of the forum he's free to leave, same way as he got here.

thats true, but there are certain times when people are annoying and don't benefit the forum:

for example posting an article full of smilies, i'm not referring to rebel who bolds the article and maybe puts a :D or a :p, but certain members fill the article with them, so it is difficult to read, and extremely annoying.

Also as someone said before, putting a :disagree: as an answer without giving a reason is also stupid.

But apart from that, i'm good

Yeah that's true. But hey, sometimes when you agree with someone there's not much you can, or want to, add so you just make one sentence. I restrain from doing that usually but sometimes it happens, it's nothing horrible. There are a select few members who post like that but that's why we have the spacebar and the scroll wheel. ;)

Like I said earlier, the least we can do is warn/ban anyone using text message speak, too many smileys or who posts very short, meaningless posts in large quantities. I don't see how that should be a problem.

I'm not in favour of making these forums elitist in any way. I realize not everyone is a genius (neither am I), but not even trying to make a reasonable post or to think that this is a chat room is too much.

We? Are you moderator? I just think that we should let the moderators do their job. And you should consider opening your own forum with your rules.

You don't get it, do you? I'm not saying every post should be a great post, but text message speak, excessive use of smileys and high numbers of absolutely useless posts should all be bannable offenses.

By useless posts, I mean repeating what his been said in a thread over and over, and agreeing and disagreeing without any explanation. Posters who only do that add nothing to the discussions on the forum.
I see and i agree, but i had to draw the line, to make sure no one will exploit your thread to make the wrong racist/elitist argument out of it, since there is also an elitist/"i own the world" tendency in these forums and it can be even more annoying!
Arrogance is worse than innocent stupidity...
