This rumour was sooooooooo fabricated. You can tell by only looking at the title. No quotes, no sense and not to mention that Palladino's market price is twice as much as Gilberto's now. I rate Gilbero highly and I really like him as a player but right now he'd be useless for us and wouldn't make any difference. FFS, we brought Sissoko 10 days ago. It's not like we are lacking DM's.

Raffaele Palladino’s stock has really risen in the last 48 hours, ever since he produced an eye-catching performance for Italy in their impressive 3-1 friendly win over Portugal in Zurich on Wednesday night.
The youngster, along with Andrea Pirlo, was probably the most productive player on the pitch, having created two excellent opportunities for Andrea Di Natale, and having crashed a stunning chest-and-volley attempt against the crossbar.
I know what everyone is thinking – how can a player who has featured so sparingly and struggled for Juventus this season, be so impressive for his country?
Palladino has started just nine of Juve’s 21 Serie A games this term, from which he has yielded just one goal. This happened to be a rather meaningless injury-time strike in the 4-0 win over Reggina in week five.
The appearances he has made have almost all been on the left or right-hand side of midfield, and the youngster has looked painfully out of his comfort zone.
Palladino has struggled badly to make an impact in this position, and he was hauled off at half-time in last week’s humiliating 1-1 home draw with bottom-of-the league Cagliari.
"I challenge any striker in Italy to play as a winger," Palladino complained earlier this week.
"I do it with pleasure in order to play more, but it's clear that I'm a striker who is trying to adapt to a different role.
“I need to play more often, and unfortunately, I often read overly excessive criticism while I'm trying to sacrifice myself, playing on the wing and often retreating to defence."
When Roberto Donadoni overlooked the likes of the red-hot Alessandro Del Piero and Antonio Cassano in order to call-up Palladino, most of the Calcio community thought he was barking mad. And it was not difficult to see why given his club form.
Palladino was fielded alongside Antonio Di Natale and Luca Toni on the right-hand side of a forward trident. Some will argue that this role is not that much different to the one he plays for Juventus, particularly because Donadoni’s system is repeatedly switched from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2 within games, depending on whether the team is attacking or defending.
Palladino clearly feels that he has the confidence of Donadoni, who he worked under at Livorno, and this could be seen in his performance not only on Wednesday night, but also against the Faroe Islands in November, when he was again a contender for man-of-the-match.
This is clearly not the case with club boss Claudio Ranieri. The Tinkerman made it obvious from the start of the season that the Neapolitan was not a key player as he granted him just one appearance (a meagre 17 minutes against Roma) in the first four matches of the campaign.
Without doubt there is huge competition for places up front in Turin with the likes of David Trezeguet, Alessandro Del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta, but this lack of faith has had Palladino considering the possibility of leaving in the summer.
"I'd like to play more, that's obvious, but with Juventus, we've decided to talk about it at the end of the season," he said on Tuesday.
"So in June, we will clear this up."
Palladino is by no means the finished article and he needs to show more personality on the field at times. However the potential of the player is without question. On a technical level he has all the tools – he is skilful, creative, both-footed, can shoot, cross, and has an eye for a pass.
Perhaps the biggest endorsement of Palaldino’s quality is the fact the Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been chasing the player for years, and attempted unsuccessfully to sign him last summer.
Wenger is without question the best scout of young talent in world football. If Arsene Wenger thinks a young player is good, you know they are good.
Yesterday’s Corriere dello Sport had a story that Wenger is set to table a fresh bid for Palladino in the summer. If this is forthcoming then Juve sporting director Alessio Secco will give the move the green-light providing Gilberto Silva moves the other way as part of the deal.
Frankly such a transfer would be ridiculous, and I find it hard to believe that even Alessio Secco, one of the most calamitous transfer directors I have ever seen, would consider swapping one of Italy’s best young prospects for a 32-year-old “has been” on crutches
