honestly i think giovinco will be a great sub for nedved next season and the season after that i have high hope of giovinco filling the gap of nedveds retirement.

for alex i guess we will at least have iaquinta who has a astonishig game/goal quota and then, there comes palladino ...
:agree: our primavera has got our future sorted they are the most promising bunch i have seen i just hope that secco doesn't abuse their futures by co-owning them and over loaning them or even letting another team buy them.

i think u should think harder...

we got quality strikers, so why would we let palladino start ?

if we did that, than we threw away the chance of getting champions league football and also would throw away the few good years we can expect from the likes of del piero and trezeguet.

no one wants to wait, just for the sake of bringing a youngster up.

and until alex and david retire, either palla is ready or we already got another player that could fill the gap.

personally i would not throw away del pieros or trezeguets last valuable years to field someone that just can't score ...

if you look at the statistics, then you see that even salihamdzic has more scorerpoints than palladino, although he plays a more defensive part...

palladino: 19 games, 1 goal, 1 assist
iaquinta: 16 games, 7 goals, 4 assist
salihamdzic: 13 games, 2 goals, 3 assists

that shows, that even a really average salihamidzic does score more often without being fielded as forward
Whilst I think your posting has been spot on I think you are taking out of context Palladino's current involvement in the team. Noone is saying that we should replace Del Piero or Trezeguet with him and all i'm saying is that we are in no position to waste Palladino, your right he has not earned his chance but it would be beneficial if were to have an invested interest in him by giving him some chances, and that might mean giving him a little bit more playing time than a player like Zalayeta if he was still here..

Do you mean our current Primavera or the one consisting of Marchisio, Giovinco, De Ceglie & so on??? I think Marchisio's primavera of 2 years ago was a lot better than our current one for the simple fact that we had a couple excellent players in De Ceglie, Marchisio, Criscito & so on that IMO they were vastly more talented than the usual crop of primavera youngsters.. Sure it's easy to say that now they have been somewhat succesful but even back then i believed that these players were going to make the step up in serie A.. I just dont get that excitement in our current Primavera, sure they are a successfull team but i don't think they have the individual talent compared to a few years ago.. And i do follow our Primavera very closely indeed

i agree that it would be stupid to waste the talent of palladino.

it would be ok to use him in turns with del piero next season (when we play international competitions).

a even better solution was to buy a brainwasher from scientology and brain wash cassano after buying him ....

damn, if he wasn't that "dumb" he would be an ace in every squad on earth

That's the thing that worries me, we have so much talent there and its wasted when a poor player starts.
It's dumb to think when Seba comes back -which I hope is soon- that he's on the bench instead of starting.

Palladino Linked With Arsenal Again
Juventus star Raffaele Palladino is yet again being linked in the Italian media with a move to Arsenal in the summer.

The 23-year-old is one of Italy’s most promising young players and has impressed hugely in his two appearances for the Italian national team, against the Faroe Islands, and then most notably Portugal last month.

However despite his burgeoning talent, Palladino has found it difficult to nail down a regular fist team place for Juventus, given the red-hot competition from the likes of David Trezeguet, Alessandro Del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta.

He has started just 12 of Juve’s 29 games in Serie A this term and has been mostly utilised in a less familiar role on the right or left side of midfield.

Palladino has come out in the press and complained about both his lack of action and for having to play out of position, and despite recently signing a new contract, his future in Turin is less than secure.

Arsenal could be set to take advantage of the situation by launching a bid this summer.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well known to be a huge admirer of Palladino and believes his technical ability, pace and trickery fits in perfectly with the club’s unique style of play.

Wenger has unsuccessfully tried to buy the former Livorno man in the past, and this time he is confident of his chances of succeeding.

i think CR lost a lot of the faith he had in Palladino. Its somewhat disappointing as hes not a bad player and he has some potential, but on the other hand he wasn't consistent so he deserves to park his ass on the bench.

Juve Set For Pa-Pa Swap Deal?

Reports emerging from Italy suggest that Juventus and Fiorentina could swap Raffaele Palladino and Manuel Pasqual this summer.
The Bianconeri are certain to sign a new left back for next season, given the problems encountered by current first choice Cristian Molinaro.

Fiorentina meanwhile are being tipped to snap up Udinese left back Andrea Dossena, which will thus leave Pasqual surplus to requirements at the Stadio Franchi.

Pasqual has long been admired by Juve, and indeed they were close to purchasing him in 2006 before the onset of the Calciopoli crisis.

Fiorentina will allow the 26-year-old to join the Old Lady, provided Raffaele Palladino moves the other way.

Palladino is widely regarded as one of Italy’s most talented young players, but he has had a largely frustrating season, spending large portions both out of position and on the bench.

The 23-year-old seems certain to leave in the summer, and a move to the Viola would interest the forward, as not only are they looking likely to qualify for the Champions League, but coach Cesare Prandelli also has a reputation for nurturing young talent.

I have a feeling we would regret letting Palladino leave.
