I wonder how many of those 94 who voted NO changed their minds in the meantime.

I mean, Ciro Ferrara, awful form, awful results, no light to be seen at the end of the tunnel.....and on the other side Rafa Benitez, one of the top 10, if not top 5, coaches in the world.

The same can be said about lots of coaches who spent lots of time in one club, had success with it and then both the players and the coach got sick of each other.

Ancelotti in his last Milan years, Lippi in 1998/99 and later in 2003/04, Mourinho in his last season with Chelsea. Benitez now.

Lippi won the WC after he left Juve, Ancelotti is doing very well after he left Milan and Mourinho is making Inter look stronger than they ever were.

These coaches already proved their quality and knowledge. Benitez belongs to that group of coaches.
Ciro doesn't nor he ever will.

Hm, well lets see, if we are talking about next summer, considering that Pool seem to back Benitez. I am not sure i want Benitez next summer either. By that time some things here and there could change.

Benitez is not coming right now anyway. We need at least a caretaker till summer.

Indeed. Was just about to say the same thing.

People are very shortsighted when it comes to Benitez.

Make that one who changed their mind. I never really thought about it properly since I wanted Guus so much.

Awesome. :D

Fegusson, Wenger, Benitez. We need this type of manager.
Not one who comes for year or two (e.g. Hiddink), but for a lot of time, to build team, to develop youngsters and so on.

I didn't vote NO before, but now I would certainly be relieved to get Benitez with all these other ridiculous names coming up.

... Maybe that's the point. Have us linked with all the crap of the coaching world, so when we get Benitez, everyone's happy, no one complains.

Given the choice between Benitez and the rest we have been linked with he is clearly the best choice, although I don't really like how he acts sometimes.
