Sometimes I wonder if Conte forgot Asamoah is a CM and not a left back/wing back.

The issue is that it is far, far easier to sign a good central midfielder than it is to find a good left back or left wing-back.

He played left back for Ghana at the Cup of Nations and I thought he was atrocious then. But this season Asamoah's been a lot better and (judging by his displays while playing LWB) is looking more and more like what I what to see in a left back. My ideal left back being Alaba. Your ideal left back is probably different given that you already mentioned Sanchez Mino.

He is a pretty solid LB imo he gets forward well and does a decent job in defence. Asamoah cant get forward at all on the other hand and he is a top CDM when he plays in the centre.
