He's arguably their best player, leaving in January and we're paying nothing for 6 months.

Considering other midfielders who are worse players went for much more it really isn't a bad price and fair for all involved.

Factor in wages which are reportedly 1.6 million. Tell me of other midfielders who are on the market who have the same traits as Nainggolan for a less price?
In a vacuum the price isn't really a problem. Like if we were Milan and needed a new midfield, starting with Nainggolan for 16M and good wages is not bad.

But we have a limited budget and no glaring need for him. It's possible with Vidal and Pogba already in the starting XI that we'd only need a simpler, cheaper, less talented player to do the job. No need to spend 16M. Marotta already said Marchisio is not going anywhere. There's 3 CMs right there confirming we just spent 16M on a bench player. Do we need CMs? I'd say ya, 1 extra one would be great. Does it have to be for 16M? Not sure, when we literally have no wingers on our team. I'd say that should be mission one.

OR what this means is that Pirlo is gone next year and Nainggolan is a starter. In which case, I'm still a bit on the fence because does that mean Pogba is moving to DM?

And my other issue is that Asamoah is a better CM than Nainggolan.

If Conte shared your sentiment, then Juve would be looking for a LWB at this point and not Nainggolan.

Yep, exactly.

It indicates Conte will keep 352 in the long run, and Asamoah will be the perennial WBL.

I don't really like this decision. I'm with those who agree we need to switch to 433 to be competitive in Europe. Need a LB and a RW and that's it.

Oh yeah, but latest rumours talk about loan + obligation to purchase which Laudisa said Cagliari are willing to accept, he's the most reliable for Juve news at the moment.

Currently when pirlo is not playing, we cannot go 4-3-1-2 / 4-3-2-1

Why ? cause with this team we'd ideally move marchisio behind T-L or next to tevez behind llorente.

However, if we do that, we lack a holding central midfielder if pirlo isnt there.

We can eighter get a holding midfielder, or a true creative playmaker that fits behind T-L, or next to Tevez behint LLlorente.

But see, those playmakers, are very expensive, and the golem, is not. Therefore, he can solve that very issue

For those that only read the lineup "naingollan allows juve to play 433 if pirlo is injured"

It doesen't have to be a world class player.
If it's not a world class player why should we move Asamoah from there? We are not getting NOTHING better than him, maybe offensively, but deffensively? Dude even Peluso or De Ceglie contribute more to our attack with their crosses, but you don't want them too near to the starting spot, do you?

I quite like Peluso as a LWB, not the best but he does his work. Also Asamoah is improving a lot, you can see it on his latest matches, he's doing a great work as a LWB, and has a starting spot guaranteed. I wonder if he would like to be on bench just to play in the CM.

:D

Rodriguez...would Wolfsburg sell him to us in January? How much? He won't be cheap.
D'Ambrosio...will leave Torino...freebie next season...Roma close to signing him though.
Santon...Newcastle selling him? :boh:
G.Silva...we deal a lot with Udinese.
Baines... ManU bound. Too $$$.
Evra...Pogba friend. Not i January though. Maybe on a freebie in July.
Lulic?
Coentrao...cup-tied? $$$
D'Ambrosio :donedeal:
