He's great quality, no doubt about it. It's just that we seem to continue to spend money on positions we really don't need to spend 18m on. LWB is where the money should go. With a good LWB we'd basically get an addition to the CM position without really spending any money since Asamoah would be more available.
But, Nainggolan is a very good player and a great signing.

We dont need him or any other CM. We barely need a LWB too.
The squad is complete.. if we are going to spend in the future it should be improving already good positions.
There is hardly any improvement that can be done to our midfield or defense. These 18 million that we might waste on the likes of Radja can be very beneficial later on next winter or next summer when the likes of Suarez, De Maria, Lewandowski, Mata, Dzeko or Rooney demand a transfer or try to force their way out.
Any other transfers would be barely slightly improving already very strong positions or a very deep bench. Real improvements come from big transfers from now on.
