PS3 owns the future with its blue ray player and superior tech inside, it is destined to last longer and achieve more in the long run...
IN the long term seem to be the better choice and the upgrade you need to make if you have a competitive PC, because the PS3 will get some exclusivities, other cosnole players will never see.
ATM though, it is the most expensive choice!
If money is not an issue, it is the best console!
Xbox360 was hurry to profit from the gap between PS2 and PS3 and it was cheaper in the US vast market and since it has almost a 2 year advantage in the next gen market, it currently has more games but this is bound to change in the future. Its main disadvantage is that it has no exclusivities, every great game is eventually ported to the PCs
But its main advantage atm is that, unlike the PS3, it can be unlocked and then you can download free in the internet and burn HD dvds, if you have a veru good internet connections, able to download 10-15 GB for a game and a HD writer to burn it, this is the main reason the xbox 360 sales were boosted and the reason PS3 couldnt reach it
The Wii is inferior to the other two consoles, by far, but its price tag significantly lower. Thats its great advantages. It also has some exclusive Nintento bound games, other consoles will ever see. But most of them are mentioned for kids (Mario,Zelda).
As the xbox 360, piracy is also present for the wii console and this boosted its ales a great deal.
The wii's lower specs is not an issue if you dont have a big full HD TV screen, if you do and you value high resolution quality, then look at the PS3, as its te only one capable reaching the highest qualities. If you are a moderate gamer and you need a cheap solution here and now, then wii is your option.
Its alternative view of gaming using this motion-sensor nunchaku, is unique, but the new PS3 pad, has already the answer for that.
For now i would recommend Wii to keep you busy until sony decides to unleash the PS3, unlocking it and providing the chip to the marker as piracy product.
360 would be the worst choice, because its almost as expensive as the PS3 is, (outside US)
but it is only cheaper due to the lesser memory
And it has less maximum resolution and a useless HD player.
More games atm, but all the good ones reach PCs anyway...
