Not only that, the Russians allowed the Germans to walk into cities so they just picked up T-72 producing plants and moved them behind the Urals outside the range of German bombers. Those, munitions factories, et cetera, et cetera...

The Russians would never have let Stalingrad or Leningrad fall either, as they killed 20% of their own troops in the battle for Stalingrad.

All of this, and it may have all been different if Hitler started the war a month later.

Yes I know it ended Germany's advance into Russia. But are you saying that you think Russia would have been able to push west and take Berlin if the Nazi's weren't preoccupied with the U.S.?

The only thing we really added in the European theater was our Army Air Corps. Our bomber groups outnumbered anything the Germans had, and we could build a fuckload of them. That and we had the second best fighter of the war.

And so what if Switzerland was safe during the war, Hitler had to focus his efforts on countries that were fighting him, but if he had neutralized those threats it doesn't seem likely he would have just ignored the small neutral countries
