I know, dont remind me, but swedish copy, is bles022 (nr on disc) or such, while UK one is bles020 and EU one Bles021 (why sweden doesnt have this copy, and just a nordic specific one I dont know), meaning I cant use patches made for either those two. And pretty much all patches, especially best ones (bundesliga/brasil league, and top notch edit work in general are all made uk ones mainly). I can get the basic stuff in early release patches that generally works for my version, but later on major changes gets restrictive. This year I'll wait a couple days and order a UK version online instead...

I don't see how can FIFA be better than this, last week I was playing FIFA11 on professional difficulty, and I carelessly left the play without pausing for 2 minutes while they had the ball, I came back to find the ball with me and no goals scored
Thats because you were playing on professional difficulty......Thats one of the easiest difficulties in the game dude... you cant talk shit about fifa because fifa will always be ahead when it comes to comparing fifa and PES. Fifa is way more fluid imo

The only way FIFA is fluid is because it is piss easy.

Play on legendary difficutly and then tell me its easy. In fucking PES all the players move like robots and everything looks like its sped up when you play the ball. I guess the reason why they all move like robots is becuase its made by asians but still FIFA wins

I've got both games and it's easy.

EA do a lot of things well but when it comes to the physics in game having a bit of scripted motion capture and everyone doing tricks like Jay-Jay Okocha might have worked well on the American sports franchises where you score 100 points per minute but with football I have to feel like I am moving every muscle, every move and pass on and off the ball.

I've played both games since FIFA '96 and the old ISS Pro and with FIFA you pick it up and play it, it's FIFA. With PES I feel like snapping the controller in half after 5 games because they've made all the little niches different, the dribbling different, the turning and passing, the AI. But you have more freedom and less scripted moves, I love it after I've got used to it. Most FIFA players just laugh at the silly team names in PES, pick up the game, can't play it and then say 'this is shit'. It's sad because they are two good games in all honesty, but at some point you pick one because you like the way it plays. Or you pick one because your mates play it. Or because it has bells and whistles on it if you are under 14.

In my opinion PES 2011 is a good game, as a complete package probably less than FIFA 11 when you consider the online and all the modes, but from 2008 to 2010 Konami were in danger of falling out of the race with stagnation. They changed in game but nothing else.

I agree with you in most parts. Ill admit I have only played fifa but once my fifa disc broke (I fucking hate those xbox cases where you click the disc in and it fucks up the disc....nvm) I bought PES 11 cause I needed my footy fix. PES is alright at best. The main attraction to the games in the CL and other licensed tournaments but thats it. I do agree with you about the annimations in PES. THey are a little more varied in PES but other than that I think FIFA wins anyday.

Also, I guess its because I dont play PES that often, but I think everything is sped up alot. Like during replays it looks like its being fastforwarded haha. O well just an observation.

Sped up animation does not trouble me as much as sped up gameplay. It's annoying when you can't stand or dribble slowly for a second or two before a defender fuckin' steals it from you.

I had every PES game before last year then I got the new FIFA. I enjoyed this years FIFA more than PES. However I'll try out both demo's again for 2012 and make a decision, I played the demo's for like 2 weeks solid to make my pick.

You said it best here, that's one of the main diffrences between the two games. There are more small details in PES which you have to discover and learn.Less scripted moves and tricks makes you more innovative and always come with something new, that's why the more you play PES the more you like it,the more you play FIFA the more you get fed up.

FIFA is like a History textbook you only need to mug up to score high, but PES is like Math or physics you have to think and use ur brain.

to me the difference is clear FIFA is a shallow, pretentious game. yes it looks pretty, yes it has all the labels but the gameplay has no depth.....and for me that is it's biggest failing
